- Silverado (Broughton): maybe I have heard the theme, but I can't remember it, this is the Intrada double disc complete score. Will it be as good as I'm hoping it will be? Better than Tombstone?
The theme's pretty outstanding, but I don't remember anything else of it, so we will discover it together then

Good luck, Gilles. It's not something that I would enjoy a bit (but honestly, I didn't even like the Silverado commercial album when it first came out at -I think- 44 minutes or so).
When it first came out? When was the last time you listened to it!? -

Yesterday I suddenly went to Ghibli Animation Museum with Chinese researchers who visited our laboratory, because we found out they are anime fans.
It was fantastic! I wish we could have stayed much longer.
So, I had a chance to get a rare soundtrack:
Koro's Big Day Out - Yuji Nomi
http://www.nausicaa.net/miyazaki/soundt … index.html
This movie wasn't screened on that day but I really wanted to get another score from Nomi (Whisper Of The Heart, The Cat Returns). 1000 yen for 12 minutes is a bit rip-off, but it turned out a very good score so I won't complain...
The short movie we saw was Monmon The Water Spider. The score by violinist Rio Yamase was very classical influenced and fitted the movie, but I thought it's not worth buying.
Next time I go to the museum I must buy Hisaishi's Mei And The Kittenbus or The Whale Hunt by Nomi

It's hands-down Bacharach & David's most insepid work. Puerile and saccharine, with little to nothing of the duo's usual magic. I think David even disowned it, or maybe apologised for it, I can't really remember.
Whatever the case, nobody, including them, was happy with the result. Lost Horizon is one of movie history's most overwhelming duds on every level.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Looks like it worked! Amazon said that they have shipped my order of Morricone's Baaria! Amazon had a glitch in the price so I paid a total of $7.50 including shipping.
*Fingers crossed in the hope that it's the correct cd* -

Just wondering Christopher, but how much of this are you familiar with or have heard before or have not heard at all?On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Some of these I've heard entirely (the three at the end of my post there), and some others I've heard pieces of on compilation discs. Some I've heard in the film. I have never heard a scrap of Titus, Final Fantasy, Thin Red Line, Warriors of Virtue, The Scarlet Letter, Gold Diggers, The Phantom (until just now!), Aliens, Mighty Joe Young, Men of Honor, or Balto (until earlier today). I've seen Deep Impact, but have no memory of the score. I've only heard one track from Steel Magnolias, Life as a House, and A.I.
So, I'm super excited to hear all of this finally. I've been collecting for more than a decade, but have been buying CDs really slowly. I'm also really picky about the scores I add to my collection. Until recently I only had about 160 scores. This is the most I've ever added at once, and with some other really exciting recent acquisitions, I'm feeling like a kid in a candy store! -
