Yes, with the exception that the only provocative thing Williams has ever done is steal Rabin sampled guitars to nclude them in "Attack of the clones"...

    NP:Quantum OF Solace

With this score Arnold proved he is not anymore closed in his own style, and that he can be versatile enough to make another kind of movies.

He played with rythms and textures here, I really hope Arnold get more assignments than only Bond movies.

He's matured so much in his last two Bond scores. I also wish he was doing more other stuff. Wonder whether it's through his choice that he isn't.

I had a big conversation with him in my facebook. He didn't tell me about his "election" methods.

"Jordi: I'm playing Night at the Opera , it's mindblowing!

    David: Thank You.

Jordi: Are you working on Narnia yet?

    David:

If you want to talk to him on Facebook longer, start joking with him. I talked to him for like 5-6 minutes once! He's cool.

"Science and religion" is the first Zimmer adagio than fails to impress me. It's beutiful, but cold.

A word to the wise: don't go down this road!

NP: Norma Rae - David Shire

Very enjoyable album, a curious mix of orchestral Americana and soft country music.

The Right Stuff - Wm Conti

What wonderful, wonderful music. "Yeager's Triumph" is a film music highlight. Just read the liner notes for the first time - delighted to see Conti acknowledge all the influences. I had no idea he even acknowledged them in the film's end titles.

NP: The Ghost of Frankenstein This is a 1999 Marco Polo recording before the group of Stromberg, Bonn, and Morgan went to Russia. Even though it isn't as good as later recording I still like the Salter/Skinner sound of the Universal Horror movies.
    Thomas
    listen to more classical music!
  7. NP: Ravenous (Damon Albarn, Michael Nyman)

Quite a score. A wild ride through an intentionally bad brass orchestra, minimalist horror music, and the most annoying catchy banjo theme you've ever heard.

    NP: Coraline - Bruno Coulais

This is a very unique, quirky score, yet I love it to bits. biggrin There is something refreshing about this score's originality.

Sherlock Holmes/Voice of Terror. A lot of the music written was recycled through the entire film series but it was all good stuff to listen to. At least for me.
    listen to more classical music!

NP:Road to el Dorado (" genius")

A failed score. Zimmer and Powell was playing too much diferent roles each one here. The rest is Synthetic crap.

Powell is good as always, and Zimmer in his confort zone creating tracks Like "Cheldorado" (track Wich I love, is relaxing for a hot night of passion )

I must admit, whenever I feel in the mood for some hot passion, the first thing I think of is Hans Zimmer in his comfort zone.
