    The Informant - Marvin Hamlisch

Man, I can't begin to say how wonderful this is. Think 60s, Mancini, Bacharach. Timmer, you will love it. Demetris, you will hate it.

Basil Poledouris - Conan the Barbarian

Rather bad score without any notable themes. I wished they would have used more E-Guitars for this, because that´s what fantasy movies about half-naked brain-deads must sound like. Take Kull or Scorpion King, for example. That´s what I was expecting, not this purely orchestral bullshit. But in the end, the movie itself sucks big time, too, so there was actually no need to care about a good score.

I'm not going to react to this ... gonna try to keep my cool ... trying ... trying ... trying ... no good ...
    NOOOOOO , I can't take this !!

    The 'Burbs (Jerry Goldsmith)

All you who think synths do not work in a Goldsmith, give this a try, the definitive comedy score. If the wacky sound effects do not raise a smile on your face, the sheer brilliance and creativity in the composition will !!!!!

This is FUN like only Goldsmith could write, bless his soul. It really sets you in the most positive mood for the rest of the day. beer

Battle Beyond the Stars James Horner

'Malmori Rear Guard' is pretty much a Prokofiev version of Goldsmith's 'Klingon Battle'. And that's not a complaint.

I Am Legend - James Newton Howard

A rarely mentioned Howard score. And not a bad one. There are some insignificant tracks, where I can hardly discover any melody, but tracks like "Epilogue", and some others are fantastic.

    It is! cool beer

Bacharach, with his regular lyricist Hal David were probably second only to Lennon & McCartney when it comes to great song writers of the 20th century.

    I'm addicted to...

STAR TREK and STAR TREK 2009

I play them back to back.

I like the mystical approach from Goldsmith, and the LOUD version from Giacchino. It shows how the movies style has changed from 70's to 00.

no, no khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan for me. give me Aliens, with the same action music and no "joyfuls" themes.
