    Epic movie

    Why did I see this?

    Rating: 2 out of 10

The only ones of these kinds of movies I kinda liked were the first two Scary movies and I thought the main character of Meet the Spartans was funny (though most of the jokes failed).

Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie were abominations for me, a big mistake making the decision to see them. And to think i was originally a fan of such movies (scary movie and all).
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

Because of the blackout I watched nothing

How badly did it affect you in terms of how you felt - related to your own dependence on electrical items? I am thinking more from a leisure point of view.

I worry how much I would miss access to a PC if we had a power cut for that long. But I suppose I would read, do some housework (yeah, right!) or go for a walk. I remember when we had a power cut a year or two back. It was the evening and we had to get the candles out. It was difficult for the children to find something else to do when they were denied access to TV, PC and video games...and light to read by. We ended up sat round the table playing cards! They loved it but would never ask to do it again when the
    electricity was back on.

From a leisure point of view I had no access to the net although because I have a laptop I had 4 hours in my computer from the battery. I was able to listen to music on my portable CD player, watched a movie on my PC, was very fortunate that I had batteries including back up already installed in the clock radio etc. I fixed a sandwich got a can of ice tea really cold in the freezer and enjoyed that. No fan=extremely warm. I had to use the bathroom which resulted in a fall and I hurt the hip. I would say I did okay.

i watched it last night, i thought it was very good and a lot of the cgi was excellent, it's obviously improved since Walking With Dinosaurs ( which wasn't exactly slouching anyway ), a good blend of made up possibilities and scientific fact, if i have one complaint it's that 30 minutes is never enough for Dino freaks like me wink

Captive Wild Woman starring John Carradine, Milburn Stone. Clyde Beatty had something to do with the circus part of it. I got a bit tired of hearing the cracking of a whip. The woman turned into a female werewolf type. I'd never seen it before and really didn't miss much

    FACT! biggrin

I forgot to mention the music, it's scored by Ilan Eshkeri, it's not bad but doesn't hold a candle to benjamin Bartlett's superlative effort.

I just watched SHOOTING DOGS about the genocide in Rwanda, very powerful film which touched me deeply.

The score by Dario Marianelli was incredible.

Dracula's Daughter (1936). This was the sequel to Dracula from Universal and I suspect that some of the ideas for Twilight came from this story.

The film isn't one to watch with your friends and a few beers, not an easy watch but highly recommended.
