Trust me you will not want to get up at 4 or 5 in the morning coming back.

I also think it's easier to arrive in Ubeda mid afternoon on the Wednesday or Thursday, otherwise it's a whole day of traveling which is more tiring than the actual festival.

Would be ok with you guys a bus Madrid (airport) - Úbeda at 4 PM on WEDNESDAY 14 JULY and a bus Úbeda - Madrid (airport) at 11 AM on MONDAY 19 JULY?

I´d appreciate to know what you think about it. Also interested on the opinion of those not attending. After all it is the foreigner´s opinions that matters on this topic.

I would ideally prefer an earlier bus on the Wednesday (2pm) but the one on the Monday is good.

Yes, I remember you mentioned it some weeks ago. I can promise you´ll have fun if you finally come. Still, I understand money is a big issue, even more if you have other projects in mind.

There are special prices for attendants. They haven´t announced this year´s hotels / rates yet (I was told they will next week), but for the last three years rates have been around 30€ per night / person (double or triple room) in 3 and 4 stars hotels.

We need more MT peeps to come as it's still 95% Spanish people who I don't know and can't talk to.

(Marcel and Jordi being the 5% I can't talk to tongue wink )

Updates regarding the symphonic concert (Saturday, 17 july). The program of the concert is closed (always on a provisional basis) and, although not everything can be disclosed yet, we have some interesting news:

    - The concert won´t last more than 90 minutes (no more two and a half hour concerts).

    - Michael Giacchino will conduct a Medal of Honor Suite and Up.

    - Dave Grusin will conduct Fratelli Chase and The Goonies Love Theme from The Goonies, On Golden Pond, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter and a Suite from The Milagro Beanfield War.
Some surprises yet to be disclosed regarding Grusin's participation in the concert.

    - Tribute to Alex North: Spartacus Suite. More info regarding this very soon.

    - Patrick Doyle will also take part in the concert.

    - Two more composers (already confirmed for this edition although not officially announced yet) will also conduct some of his works. One of the two is a favourite of mine by the way punk

    - Important news regarding the recital (Friday, 16 july) and the True Blood concert (Thursday, 15 july) to be disclosed in the coming weeks.
