Don't think I have the score, but it sounds familiar somehow. Perhaps it's the composer's style I recognize.

I'm in school and can't listen to the clips. I wanted to take a blind guess solely based on that clue and say Howard Shore - Dogma. But looking at the answer it couldn't be further off! cheesy

Indeed, I get the feeling it's older than
Broughton
.

    No idea what though.

Damn. I was rather hoping my detective skills would pay off.
I know that Broughton likes to utilize a classical music sound in some of his scores, and I know the Harry & The Hendersons is an example of this, plus I checked Antineutrino's profile page.
Good observation.
When I first heard it I thought there was something Deleruey about it, but wasn't sure enough to make a guess. With the french thing now affirmed, I will guess Georges Delerue.
I didn't. I knew it was Beowulf straight away.

    But then I am awesome.
  2.
The composer also scored another film with this actor which received a very popular score and song . The film was remade in 1999
You didn't recognize the "Beowulf" clip? That wasn't too obscure.

True, but I only saw the film once a few years ago, and don't remember much of the music. I think you need to OWN the soundtracks in many of these cases to get it right.

I'll try to upload one you might have next. I'm not too keen on uploading anything from Star wars, Titanic or Chariots of fire though.

A fine line not making it too popular and not too obscure.

I failed to keep up... which clips are still going on? I messed up the mp3s! dizzy The one starts with classical-influenced orchestra? The one with scary children chorus was over?

I can't recognize anything except Beowulf, though.

  3. It's interesting to see what people think is a well-known score (therefore clip) and what is obscure!

I've lost track which clip we're on...
