NP: Mouse Hunt - Alan Silvestri

I encountered a little mouse running on the roadside, just an hour ago... shocked so now playing this.

Hope he/she won't encounter any hunters. smile

God yes, I love it. Easily my favourite Silvestri score.
  1. Certainly not my favourite, but absolutely fitting the wonderful movie, which is a great homage to Laurel & Hardy.

    listen to more classical music!

Die Jagd Nach Der Heligen Lanze - Klaus Badelt
Much more enjoyable, even though it's not extremely thematic.
Sadly its electronic origin is very clear and makes for a slightly muddied and adynamic sound.
Mood-wise though it's a winner, with exciting action cues matched by moody suspense cues.
Nothing special, and at 37 tracks it's waaaaay too long, but with some judicious whittling, you're left with a very nice (if not very special) album that shows Badelt is really on the up!

"on the up!" to what? "adynamic" sounding, "nothing special", long-running, "not very special" scores?

Some serious epic shit in this score! Each time I spin this deluxe edition it gets better and better! I adore Spock's theme and glad to hear that it got a really good work out in the score!

NP: KNIGHT AND DAY - John Powell

a fantastic soundtrack. it's a mix of mr. and mrs. smith, italian job and a liitle bit paycheck. my favourite track is HOSTAGE. this track has a cool rythym performed by guitar, bass and percussion. amazing.
