First listen. Starts of quite freaky. I hope it's not all atmospheric scary making and shrieking violin music? How's the general opinion about this score here? Thomas liked it (looking at his review)...Kazoo -

I was disappointed to see that this was not a bio-pic of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

NP: The Tourist ~ James Newton Howard
A pleasant score with some very nice moments. I especially like the "kissing theme" in Bedroom Dreams and Rain of Bullets. It feels like standing on a high place looking at the sea and breathing.Whatever you gaze rests on,do not use your vision, but the eyes of your soul...She knows better... -

NP : QUEST FOR FIRE - Philippe Sarde
Awesome score! It conjurs images of a prehistoric world like only a handful of other scores, great instrumentations plus the power of the LSO + choir, this is how it's done.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Now that's the kind of description I like to hear...I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -

Awakenings - Randy Newman
Few film scores contain this much emotional depth. Every moment of inspiring beauty is counterbalanced against heartbreak. The melodies are exquisite, the orchestration so skilful it alone could bring a tear to the eye. I know of few more beautiful soundtrack albums. In a word, outstanding. -

Great, bombasting opening title.
But after that, the music becomes VERY repetitive. After track 8 or so I become completely bored with it."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

I can totally recommend the symphonic live rendition of various cues from this overlong game score. At 9 minutes you practically have all you need. Featured on this album (track 11).
Great suggestion, I'm gonna get that album!
No problem, but after hearing that clip from Oblivion, it's strange but I have a slightly different sounding version, quite lovely too, but I can't really remember what album it was from. It wasn't a Video Games Live album either.
BTW Another recommendation that will blow your socks off: A Night in Fantasia 2009. Awesome stuff !!!! It's sad though that the iTunes version omits two wonderful videogame tracks (Soul Calibur and Prince of Persia)."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

STAR TREK V: THE FINAL FRONTIER (EXPANDED) - JERRY GOLDSMITH
Excellent expanded treatment of a much-loved Goldsmith. I love how the tracks are in film order, so the emotional and riveting stuff comes at the end. Also many interesting formerly unreleased tracks that provide some more variations on the themes. Hardly Jerry on auto-pilot this one."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -
