  6. Wow! This year's edition seems to be a FIMUCITÉ 2.0. Bear McCreary? Bruno Coulais? Pascal Gaigne? All them have been premiering in concert in Tenerife before.
  7. People who can't go to Tenerife should go to Krakow, some of the concerts go together, because the festivals are collaborating very closely. Diego Navarro even conducted twice in Poland!

    The spanish composer Carles Cases will play, together with Mark Isham, several works of this American composer, forming an unprecedented duo, highly attractive for fans of film music

    A little more than three weeks before the start of the seventh International Film Music Festival "Ciudad de Úbeda", which will run from 18 to 24 July 2011, the organization announces another brilliant guest in the event. a composer of great prestige in the Spanish film music.

    Spanish composer Carles Cases, which confirmed his visit to the Ubeda city to participate in the festival, primarily on the recital concert to be held on Thursday 21 July and which will present a circumstance of great interest to film music fans and an unprecedented world meeting.

    Composer Cases will acompany Mark Isham during the interpretation of the pieces of the american composer in the concert, forming a duo of high quality, which is also joined by two musicians of usual band that accompanies Carles Cases at his concerts. To crown his presence, the Catalan composer will perform several pieces by Duke Ellington.

    This new initiative of the festival is putting the icing on the cake, on a year that presummably will be unique, and to which all fans of film music from Spain and any other country can join by obtaining information on the festival website.

    Carles Cases joins the roster of announced guests comprised of great masters of film music, Alberto Iglesias, Mark Isham, Philippe Sarde, Gabriel Yared, Christophert Lennertz, Pascal Gaigne, or Bruno Coulais, among others.

    I've never heard of him, or any of his music I think. It's interesting that collaboration with Isham. Have you met/seen him at Madrid Alan?
