    Ballots are now closed.

Contestants, numbered by when I received their PM (it was three, not four as previously stated):

    1. SiriusCreations
    2. Bregt
    3. omaha

I don't have any fancy drawing video, but random.org comes to the rescue once again.

    And the winner is:

By the way, I have several more to give away (that are on the same level of quality as the previous entries), but I'll let someone else do a turn now if they wish.

The Conan rerecording arrived yesterday! Thanks so much!!

    Listening right now. cheesy

You know, when flipping open the CD case thing inside that holds the two discs, the picture of Poledouris conducting really hit me... Didn't see that one coming, since it's a round picture behind the discs. Anyway, it's wonderful.

    So glad you're enjoying it.smile
It's a beautiful release indeed, clearly created by people with great love for Poledouris' work.

A very fine album with some gorgeous themes, although it becomes quite overbearing at times in the film itself -- like the famed John Adams speech at the end.

  4. You mean there is dialogue?

Just checking. I know nothing of this score and I read the comment as the score had a dialogue-infested track.

Oh no. The John Adams speech cue is actually a sold piece of Americana on its own. It just becomes a bit over-the-top in the actual film itself, as it underscores Hopkins' lofty words.

It was so OTT it made me wince, the film was uneven too, obviously all well intentioned but certain parts were dripping in hand wringing sentimentalism, likewise The Color Purple.

  7. That's Spielberg for you. Munich is the only movie of his which doesn't drip into sentimentalism.

Give it a try? Depends on what you have to give away smile

The Herrmann didn't come yet, takes a while to go from west USA to Central/Eastern Europe for sure smile
