Today we'd upload Junkie XL, causing the aliens to turn back. -

Maybe that's the plot of Independence Day: Resurgence! We turn away the aliens by playing bland Harald Kloser music at them until they realize there's nothing of value on this planet... -

A new work to me is Lars-Erik Larsson's Second Symphony which was written in 1937. It is structured for only 3 movements and is somewhat melodic with good counterpoint.

NP: SIMPLE THINGS - Zero 7
One of my favourite albums. I don't listen to it very often so that it remains just as special. I have so many great memories of listening to this during my year out in Australia and it brings them right back. Balmy evenings on the beach during the final glimpses of warm sunshine. Beer in hand.
Bliss.

Timmer has been raving about that album for years. I remember sampling it on Spotify, and while I felt it was fine, it didn't do that much for me. But I'm up for another go.I am extremely serious. -

Rimsky-Korsakoff Symphony no 1. This is his very first composition but that statement is quite deceiving in that what we hear today has gone through 4 revisions by the composer.

PINK FLOYD - THE FINAL CUT
First listen. Better late than never. And it's pretty great !"considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

I'm only familiar with his famous Ninth. Tom, Robert, anyone, what other Dvorak symphonies would you recommend to a neophyte? -
- CommentTimeMay 27th 2016
Edmund,
There is so much more to Dvorak than his ninth. I would get this set which is pretty reasonable for 5 CD's
