Christian's Motif!
To the person who PM'd me (and anyone else interested!):
- This motif first appears in "White Rabbit" in a weird, almost synthesized sounding fashion when Jack keeps seeing the apparitions of his father around the island (it appears probably 3 or 4 times).
- It then next appears in "All The Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues" when Christian convinces Jack to sign the statement about the girl that died when Christian was operating on her (drunk).
- It then remains hidden all the way up until season 4 in "Something Nice Back Home", where it makes a very quick appearance in the hospital scene where Jack once again sees his father sitting in reception (just after the smoke alarm bit).
And they are the only appearances of it! Let's hope it's used more in future... -

Pah, the season 3 soundtrack lies!! If the second disc contained the COMPLETE score to the final episodes, we'd actually have a copy of Sawyer's theme released!

Happy Birthday Nestor Carbonell a.k.a Richard Alpert.
Or should I say, "You do remember birthdays, right?".
Speaking of which - I think that line's going to be more important than we might think... -

You want to watch Eggtown and Something Nice Back Home for that little story (and possibly Through The Looking Glass and There's No Place Like Home for things that happen after that).

I'm not looking forward to season 5. Without a season 4 soundtrack, there could be lots of stuff repeated that I'll have forgotten.
Clearly I'll have to rip every cue that could prove useful and memorize them...

It's that time of the year indeed, we really need the season 4 score Cd. I am going to struggle hard NOT to start panicking so early.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I'm not panicking. Yet. I'm hoping that if worst comes to worst we'll get it mid-way through season 5 like we did with the last one.
Actually, had season 4 finished when we got the season 3 soundtrack? I can't picture myself listening to season 3 while season 4 was on...

There's one big flaw with the music from season 4 though - there is TONS of great music, but every cue is incredibly short. I'm not fussed how much music gets released when (hopefully) a CD comes, but I think they need to be very careful in terms of music selection. I assume Giacchino did the previous releases, and the season 3 release was SPOT ON, but I hope this trend continues with any future releases. -

I've been watching season 3 of Heroes (showing on the BBC here in the UK), and it really makes me appreciate the music for Lost. (Even more I mean.)
The music for that show is unforgivably bad, especially considering the show is quite a decent one. So many wasted opportunities, so many poorly scored moments. It's horrible, the composers -two of them- should be shot.

I stopped watching heroes after the second season (and that one was a tough one to watch). Actually by the middle of season one the show started to go down IMO, with one of the worst finales I´ve watched in a tv show.
You´re right about the score (at least judging the first two seasons): pretty mediocre. Even McCreary´s Sarah Connor Chronicles (as repetitive as it is) is better.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you
