Nope, Lost is out again next week. The trailer had said "in 2 weeks". But usually I check tv.com anyway for any show to see when their next episode airs.

I was surfing on Lostpedia yesterday and I find that some of their articles are really informative and useful. I recommend the following ones:

List of Oceanic 815 survivors: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/List_of … _survivors

    The Monster: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Monster

    The Temple: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Temple

    Hieroglyphs: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Hieroglyphs

These articles should keep your mind going people until the next episode! smile

I don't even speculate now, as no matter what I come up with it's going to be 100 times more stupid.

D, perhaps you should start watching 24? wink

You should enjoy season 1 then. NOT a big terrorist threat.

Come to think of it, why since then has it always been terrorists trying to kills thousands of people? It was so much cooler when there was an assassination attempt and a single kidnapping. Easy.

I saw Season 1 and liked it a lot. I then tried season 2, but after three or four episodes I just gave up. Again with that president, again the very slow introduction episodes, ...

The sites I posted are not speculations. They are articles on each subject and a really good summary of many things. Plus, you can find things there that we have forgotten about or that we didn't know about, eg. the meaning of hieroglyphs on various locations. You can find theories as well in Lostpedia but those are in other pages. The ones I posted are just pure facts.

And don't get me started on 24! Nothing would please me more than see Jack Bauer dead! When that day comes, then I'll start watching the show again! :p

    Bring it on!
One thing I got to say at this point: Even Superman has a weakness but not Jack bloody Bauer!

As for Lost, so we don't re-track from the topic a lot, let me know if anyone has a read on the hieroglyphs and monster page in Lostpedia. I found them quite interesting.

Jack Bauer has no weaknesses? Are you mad? This guy's life is been ruined by these hellish days.

As for the monster, the only thing that interested me was how it made the same sound as the Striders in HL2. I can't believe I didn't notice that. biggrin

A normal person would die at least 15 times so far!! I would love for Day 8 to begin with a random person taking out a gun and just shooting JB in the head! For good! smile

The monster has been around since ancient times, so we know it's not a Dharma construct. Its sounds are both mechanical and natural. It can take many forms... It seems to be protecting the island and be some sort of character-judge as well. Eko's death was clearly a result of him not repenting for his sins. Did the "monster" give him a final chance to repent and when he didnt't do so, "sent him over" or something? Or did the monster feel that by not repenting, Eko was becoming a threat to the island?

Ok, I just thought of something... If it's some sort of "spiritual being" then it makes some sense that it is stopped by the sonar fence. Doesn't that have to do with EM waves (any physicists around)? Same way pure salt stops demons or iron chains stop "ghosts" perhaps... And talking about iron; anyone remember the powder around Jacob's cabin? Any theories on that? Is it used by Ben to keep Jacob "trapped"?

The strangest thing about the monster is how the producers have said the Medusa spiders that bit Nikki and Paulo were manifestations of it. dizzy

Yes indeed... Wasn't it only the one that bit Nikki, I think? Which kinda strengthens my theory that once someone picks a path or repents or doesn't repent or whatever, gets something ("death") in return... Nikki betrayed Paolo's love and trust. Her own plan seemingly backfired (with a little help from the monster!).

Until I read the monster was the spider (although you do hear it before the spiders come) I was happy with the fact it could manifest people. Now spiders? Lost has ruined something else for me! cry

Didn't you sort of already guess that? I never thought of the spider, but I always thought that Kate's horse and even perhaps Sawyer's boar were manifestations of the monster. If it can appear as Yemi, Christian or whoever else, then why not appear also as an animal?! I think it's kinda cool in fact!

Uh oh... Tension building up in 5x9... That can't be good!

So the baby is Ethan! Funny feeling for Juliet there... I wonder if she came across a young Goodwin as well! "Hey there little boy! I'm gonna be your lover in 25 years' time!"

Where did Daniel go? Off the island? Is he the guy who builds the pendulum off the island?

A bit selfish of Sawyer not to sit down with everyone else and discuss the situation. Jack and John used to make that mistake all the time and now he is doing it!

And why on earth is Sun at present but the other O6 are not? Could it be that because Jin didn't want her to come back? Remember when John's father came to the island, Ben had told him "imagine the island as a giant box and whatever you think about / wish for, the island brings it to you". Could it be that because Jin did not want Sun to come back, the island did not re-unite them?

Btw, I bet someone (maybe Frank or Sun or Locke) go back in time and tell the Others to build that runway on the Hydra island! It's the only reasoning that can explain why the Others were building that runway to begin with.

Poor Sayid btw... I wonder what's gonna happen to him... The trailer for the next episode looks breath-taking!

And on a last note: Did everyone else also feel sorry for the co-pilot? (PS. Did you notice the broadcast of the Numbers from the radio?)

Namaste was easily the best episode of the season. It's still stupid, but it didn't feel contrived, and most importantly it was enjoyable. The thing with Sun and Frank is still way over the top and silly, but the stuff back in the 70's (even though it's flawed storytelling wise) is decent enough.

I'm waiting for Giacchino to kick it up a notch this year, as not a single episode has blown me away music wise. I know I thought that about season 4 to start with, but that at least picked up after a couple of episodes. This season is relying too much on tracked music and re-hashed themes (did anyone notice "The Gathering" and "Jintimidating Bernard" this episode?)

P.S. Sawyer = way better leader than Jack.

    Two other things I noticed:

    - If Rousseau overwrote the message playing the numbers in 1988, why are they playing now?
    - Is the reason Juliet was recruited to go to the island because Ben witnessed her delivering Ethan?
