Like I said before, I like your posts and theories! Good to hear someone explain things I couldn't even think of. Makes it much more mysterious, and reading about the connections or questions I'd never thought of, certainly keeps it all captivating.

I don't see anything wrong by exclusively posting in this thread. Quite frankly, I don't see the problem at all, but well. Even if they're complex, than that doesn't take away it can be imaginative and interesting. After all, this is a film music forum, and we talk about movies/series/docu's all the time, so why not?

    You can stay! wink

I don't see the problem either. Really. Why does it bother you? You can simply push the ignore button and let go. Other things bother me (or everyone of us, differently) in the forum too, some of those you do know Ant and Steven, but i have decided i shouldn't pass them on other people too 'cause it's my problem obviously wink

As for GreekFox's input, i too feel "lost" often after watching an episode and his theories / explanations are often the best way to realize what's going on, or what i might have missed 'cause he simply misses NOTHING wink I like that, i love the show but i can't be SO focused to it; it's good that someone IS and can clear things up for me when i ask.

    [something about Lost]

This is not a dig, so don't take it personally... but I'm just wondering if you have ANY other interests? This forum isn't just about film music, as you've clearly proved, so surely someone so willing to devote this much attention to one topic can discuss other things too? Just seems odd that you've only ever posted in the Lost thread and a bit of a shame really.

I do not think my interests (nonexistent or not) should be any of your concern. [Blah blah blah, getting increasingly more defensive, blah blah blah, etc. etc.]

I was actually genuinely curious as to what your other interests are.
    Sorry.

Be as obsessive about a TV show as you like! Makes no difference to me.

So after having wasted several posts for no apparent and logical reason, anyone interested in getting back to talking about Lost?

I have been thinking a lot about Jacob and his enemy. I believe the man in the cabin and the man leading Richard and the Others has been Jacob all the time. The monster seems to be Jacob's enemy. Why would it tell Ben (in the form of Alex) to follow fake-Locke then?

How about Christian though? He seemed to be helping the Losties all this time. Was he Jacob's enemy though all along planning his loophole? And if that's the case, then where is Christian's body? Locke's body was found - Jacob's enemy simply duplicated it. So if the Christian we have been seeing was a fake Christian, then where is real Christian?

And why would Claire follow him, leaving Aaron behind? How did he convince her? On one hand she did warn Kate not to bring Aaron back to the island in her dream, but on the other hand she seemed relaxed and calm when she was in the cabin... Maybe Claire was "tricked" into following Christian (Jacob's enemy), only to realise afterwards he was the "bad guy" and thus warned Kate not to bring Aaron back?

Indeed. Because discussing a single subject through endless theories about a show who's writers make it up as they go along -like any show- is definitely time better spent on a forum than attempting to coax some other kind of discussion from a forum member. What was I thinking? dizzy

You should get over it Steven. wink

It's allright for most people here, but you clearly need to repeat how odd you find the whole thing. I think Greek doesn't (want to) bother anyone with it really. If you don't want to get annoyed by his posts, just ignore them. No point in constantly discuss about it? No?

I think after season 3, they announced that the next 3 seasons would have 16 episodes each. By the end of season 4 (which was cut short at 14 episodes due to the writers' strike) they announced that seasons 5 and 6 would have 17 episodes instead. I believe this is the first time they announced that season 6 would have 18 instead of 17 episodes.

Here are some interesting facts that were mentioned in "Lost: A Journey in Time" (which aired prior to the Season 5 finale) for those who haven't watched it or didn't happen to pick up:

    * Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse revealed in this recap that the reason that some survivors were transported to 1977 and others remained in the present was because they were unable to exactly replicate the conditions of Flight 815 aboard Flight 316. Minor differences caused the survivors to successfully crash on the Island, but not exactly as they had planned.

    * Benjamin Linus's intentions when he met Locke off-Island are more explicitly detailed. Ben did not want to lose his role as "leader" of the Others, and by manipulating and killing Locke, he could possibly regain his position. He first listened to Locke in order to gain information about Eloise Hawking and the Oceanic Six in order to know how to return after killing him.

    * Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse revealed that the radio broadcast Hurley and Sayid received on the beach in "The Long Con" was due to time travel from the 1940s and was not being broadcast live.

    * Damon and Carlton also confirmed that when Locke, Sawyer, Juliet, etc were flashing through time, every flash was to a "significant" point in time of the island's history.

The last point is worth investigating I think. I should go back to Season 5 and pick-up the different time periods that the Losties were transported to. I would have to put the ones experienced by Sawyer's group together with the ones Jin had (they were probably the same ones, just different parts of the island).

One scene that comes particularly in my mind was Aaron's birth. Is this another indication that Aaron is "special"?

Is what Damon and Carlton say about Ben's intentions automatically considered canon? Or are they just saying what his intentions appear to be?

They've always said anything that's not *in* the show should be considered uncannon, but never if a clip show is classed *as* a show. slant

I love a big "wtf" for a season finale, but for a show that ends (and specially with Lost, and specially when they´ve been saying since the beginnig they had it all planned) I want as much answers as possible!

    WARNING, GOING OFF TOPIC

Now that you mention it, I have to say how rotten is TV nowadays, at least in Spain: people that become (second division) celebrities due to its participation in all kind of reality shows, gossip programmes in every time frame of the day and every single day of the week (most of them filled with the very same second division celebrities I mentioned before), manipulated programmes, and I could go on and on for a couple of paragraphs.

    I needed to say this.

It's the same here. British TV was at one time 'supposedly' "The Best In The World" ( was this ever true? Not being brought up in other countries I have no way of gaging? ) but now it's full of Zelebrity reality tosh and other cheap crap.

We still produce some decent programming, Mitchell & Webb, Have I Got News For You ( must see TV for me ), anything with Charlie Brooker and of course, some world beating wildlife documentaries.

Drama wise only THE WIRE is worth watching on terrestrial TV at the moment and that's an American import.
