I personally liked Nikki and Paolo and wish we had seen more of them... I thought it was a pleasant change to see a couple of the background survivors as well and show that some others were active too... I also thought their death was the most horrible of all and no-one deserves that!! Except maybe Ben... :p

"Supernatural". If it was broadcasted in a major network it would be a major show. Check it out.

Not a big fan of the love triangles and all that. Also, not a big fan of the endless walks in the jungle that everyone used to take in season 3, whereas in seasons 4 and 5 they get where they want to in 5 mins, not in 5 episodes! Also, I don't like certain things that some of the heroes might do or endless discussions between them around the same topic.

So, the producers have officially confirmed that the statue belongs to the goddess Tawaret. More on her on these links:

"Taweret (Taueret, Taurt, Toeris, Ipy, Ipet, Apet, Opet, Reret) - The Great Female - was the ancient Egyptian goddess of maternity and childbirth, protector of women and children".

"She was also a goddess relating to fertility. She was goddess of harvests as well as a goddess who helped with female sexuality and pregnancy".

"In the Book of the Dead Taweret, the 'Lady of Magical Protection', was seen as a goddess who guided the dead into the afterlife. As with her double nature of protector and guardian, she was also a guard to the mountains of the west where the deceased entered the land of the dead. Many of the deities relating to birth also appear in the underworld to help with the rebirth of the souls into their life after death".

    I guess it makes....sense?

Lost won't return until January '10, so you have plenty of time to catch up with season 4 and 5.

Just finished up episode 6 season 4. I was shocked when watching it when Ben started telling Locke about a story in Gainesville, Fl. I was like shocked cheesy
I go to the University of Florida so I live in and love Gainesville. I was just shocked hearing it mentioned when it is just a small college town known only for the university, Tom Petty, author Michael Connelley, and River and Joaquin Phoenix.
However, I cannot forgive the writers for previously mentioning Tallahassee, FL (and even naming an episode after it). Tallahassee is the home of Florida State University, our arch enemies (but, we've enjoyed kicking their a** as of late in American football and in every other area beer ) .

Sorry. I know you guys could care less. Just a moment of shock and awe for me.

I do have plenty of time. A little too much. I should try to stretch it out a bit... but that's not going to happen.

Well seasons 1 and 2 are out on blu ray next month so I'm going to start watching again when I get my little mitts on those.

...now they just have to release season 3 on blu ray in the UK!

Be sure to let me know how it looks on Blu-ray. Maybe buying the seasons is something to invest in. I've been watching them on the web in bad quality. At least I'll be able to watch the final season on TV. biggrin

I can only speak for season four currently, but it looks and sounds amazing! The mix of Giacchino's music is much louder too! cool

Just seen the season finale and I just love where this show has been going for the past couple of years. Most criticisms in this thread seem to be based on a sort of impatience; that's just one of the main reasons why this show is so great. They don't give their solutions too hurriedly (like in 24). Actually, I even think the series suffers somewhat from cutting the amount of episodes back from 24 to approx. 17, as it's obvious some of the backstories suffer somewhat in favour of the unfolding of the plot.
I also wish I could follow everything that is revealed on the internet more indepthly (like that statue, for instance, or the Dharma background, etc.), and that by adding more of that stuff they would make it overall less 'accessible' as a popular series. I get the feeling they're taking the edge of it a bit sometimes; I'd love to see a bit more depth, in the scientific, theoretical, and mythological departments.

The only part that made me smile was Juliet:
