Wow, I'm kind of surprised to see all this love for RotS. All this wait to see how Anakin really becomes Darth Vader and then.... He had a dream? Samuel L. Jackson is dead? Well, naturally he'd want to be Darth Vader after that...
The transformation was totally unbelievable to me. One moment he was turning the emperor in, the next moment he's killing children. And every time he and Natalie Portman are on screen together, they set a new bar for "the most forehead-smackingly awful scene between two people that are supposed to be in love" ever filmed. There is negative chemistry there. It's like watching two boards talk to each other. -

Indeed. The scene where Anakin kills the jedi younglings is a DARING move in this type of movie (even though it is not shown graphically). Even though you know he's going to turn into a bad guy, there's still an identification process going on there from the audience's point of view (he is a HERO too, not only a bad guy), and when he does what many consider the most despicable moral act a human can do, it raises some serious questions about morality and identification. I thought it was excellent. It's usually the stuff you see in a Michael Haneke film; or Pasolini or something.I am extremely serious. -

I get prototypical epics, I just don't think Lucas handled it well at all in the prequels.
The evolution of Anakin into Vader felt so forced, and I never really bought into the whole Anakin-Vader thing when watching the prequels (doesn't help that Lucas is a terrible awful director when it comes to actors). The scene where he kills the kids felt tacked on just to ensure the audience knew that he really had turned into Darth Vader.
I'll admit it's the best of the prequels, but it's still piss poor. -

Then you can save your $20 for something else. However, the Japanese CD is lacking a bit in sound quality. I have both and CD and LP and the LP sounds much better! Hopefully Intrada got access to Armin Steiner's original masters. If that's the case then I'm sure Intrada will perform their magic and make this album sound as good as other Steiner remasters... Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes come to mind.

I realy am not very fond of that soundtrack.
If Intrada releases it, I might get it at one point if it's still available.

I quite like it and would certainly get it but I'll be moving house in three weeks and so I can't take the risk of ordering it - if I address it to the old house then I may have moved when it arrives, if I address it to the new one then I might not be there yet when it does.
So I'll miss out because I seriously doubt it will hang around for more than 24 hours, let alone three weeks.
Screw this stupid fucking way of releasing soundtracks. It's a game I don't want to play any more. -

Well, it's just my own preference. Aside from the godawful eighties' Training Montage, I find the score pleasant but a bit too meandering for my own taste. I keep expecting a flourish of the Raider's March to come in at any point.
Anyway, surely someone could order the score for you if it's indeed released in a silly quantity?

I'll just download it illegally after it's sold out. Not ideal, but that's the only option being presented by the labels to people who want the music but aren't interested in the feeding frenzy.
