My dear friends in one hour I'm leaving for Corfu for the Easter holidays. I don't know if I'll get the chance to write to you from there so I wanted to wish to all of you a happy and beautiful week until I return. Be careful and well all of you! wave

Have fun! I am in CYPRUS too, for the eastern holidays. Cozy and family-ish.

Careful with your paradoxes there, you'll cause a rift in the universe. And I happen to like this universe. slant

  3. Anne and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary today (Saturday) though, unfortunately, Anne's not feeling too healthy at the moment - she has some sort of viral bug that's knocked her for six. sad

So, nothing extravagant planned. It's meant to be good weather over the weekend so we may just take it easy and potter about in the garden, tidying up for spring.

    Congrats Alan (and Anne, obviously!)!
Hope she's feeling better soon! Did you have anything special planned?

  4. Nothing specifically planned - but it is such a beautiful weekend here (weather-wise) that I'm sure that we would all have gone out for a walk somewhere close by.

As it stands at the moment, what's "special" today is that I'm making my whisky-honey-oatmeal-cream combo pudding: cranachan.

BTW, thanks for the best wishes Tim and Martijn. wave

    Ingredients:

    2 oz oatmeal
    10 fl oz double cream
    3 tablespoons clear honey
    3 tablespoons whisky*
    12 oz fresh raspberries

    *Approximate :hic:

    1) Toast oatmeal until golden brown. Allow to cool
    2) Whip cream until stiff and then mix in honey, whisky & oatmeal
    3) Spoon in raspberries and place in 4 serving dishes. Cover with cling film/foil & refrigerate
    4) Allow to come to RT for 30 minutes before serving - decorate with a few raspberries (if any left)

    Job done!

I'll see what I can replace double-cream with (did you know that that product is unique to Anglosaxon countries?) and give it a shot! Sounds yummie! lick
