Few things in life are more joyful than a visit to the dentist.

I was at work for just under 12 hours today. I woke up at 6.50, got to work at 7.15 (somehow my supervisor was ALREADY in) and stayed until 6PM. Admittedly it sucked, but I got a huge amount done and I'll get a nice lot of overtime on the next payday.

Counteracting my post in the complaining (without complaining) thread, I do at least have a hefty bonus to look forward to at the end of the month (to be used solely for reducing debt). Don't tell Barack Obama though! -

Nah. We already have a Greek around here.

(I'm kidding. One can never have enough Greeks.)
Plus my laptop is obviously fine and I saw my love after 20 hard days without him.
So all in all it's tripple good news.
A well and proper entry in this thread indeed!

Seminar day today so I didn't have to go to work!
I'm currently home cooking and listening to music. Oh, and my car is fine!

Good God.

Well, that's nominally better, I guess.

In Greece, women start organizing and programming lunch, right after breakfast

In the north of Europe, men refuse to relinquish control on their creative outlets and cook for themselves, generally taking roughtly three and a half hours and six pans to prepare a properly boiled egg.
How's THAT for dedication?
And inefficiency?
And seriously deep psychological control issues?'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

I would love and stay and teach you a thing or two about liberal principles, women's liberation, emancipation and equality, but unfortunately I have an egg to cook, so I'm unavailable for the rest of the week.'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

I only cook because I enjoy it.
All women I ever knew saw cooking as a chore, which really did little for adding joy to something as crucial as eating and preparing food. I'm a very slow cook, but I do love it! I love fiddling around with different taste combinations (failing as often as I succeed...
) and spending some time on the presentation.
It's just so much FUN!
But yeah, I can see where a classic Greek lady would be a breath of fresh air in that respect.
But then that pretty much goes without saying, doesn't it?
