Done with my first exam today. Although the paper was quite easy, meaning it was easy for everyone (and these exams are super-competitive) I think I did as well as I could. Especially did Physics and Chemistry much better, which IMO I bombed last time. Biology went ok too, though I'd like to see the result myself before I can say anything tongue

I really was very tense for the exam, especially a few hours before I felt like I was going to throw up! But now I'm feeling much relaxed. My head's still pounding like a mallet hitting a gong so I'll not study for the rest of the day! biggrin

Well done Ravi! It's time to relax now.
Some building up of tension can be good for an exam, it makes most people perform better I guess, when you are completely focussed. By the way, the exam was on Sunday morning?

Congrats and all the best for the remaining exams! Is this something like the Common Entrance Test (CET) of each state?
  3. We have been getting quite a variety of birds coming to our seed-filled bird feeder the last few weeks/months (though not when we did the recent Birdwatch count for the RSPB) and we had more than a dozen goldfinches descend on our garden.

Some of these individuals waited in line quietly in a nearby tree but some were quite impatient and a bit of squabbling took place.

But it was great to watch.

I'm a little annoyed that I have a cold and few more health issues right now, as it's Spring, the sun is shining and I was supposed to have a couple of nights with drinking and get-togethers with friends here in my hometown, where I'm vacationing (with some wine and beer etc.). I'm gonna try that anyway, but will obviously be somewhat more easy-going.

Anyways, I just wanted to say that what made my day a little better DESPITE OF THIS is THIS board, maintitles.net. Over the last couple of years, I've found myself more and more "alienated" from the FSM board and the amount of reactionary, over-defensive and perspective-less people posting there. This place is a like a little "oasis" away from that, and I really appreciate that. So kudos to everyone! Going from there to here is often a little like going from crazy to beer

This place is great. And very respectful. You know, I haven't been much into film music lately, especially new releases, but I still come here almost every day for the off topic stuff mostly. Just to spend time with you all nice people!

What made my day? I got a 10 (A, 100 out of 100) for my paper about hinduism and buddhism. dizzy
Special thanks to Ravi again, because he did the interview about hinduism for me.

And I made some important decisions about my work this week. I feel so much better now.
I'm going to reduce my hours of teaching.

What is your hometown Thor? Does it include fjords and free islands? (we still have to take one, to claim maintitles.net island, which will have a cocktailbar cocktail )

It is indeed quite fantastic here. It's my break during work, my constant in live, my right foot in times when I have no right foot, and above all, friends and some of the coolest people on this planet.

Yay for Maintitles! This is one of the most relaxed boards I've seen. FSM on the other hand is full of massive ego tussles. You're a cool chap, Thor. I often wonder how you can withstand so much of mean stuff from the FSM folks.

I think it is time to frame a Zeroth Law of soundtrack collecting-

The state of coolness or relaxedness of a soundtrack forum is directly proportional to the percentage of European members.

The First Law, of course, has been mentioned earlier-

The larger the score collection (or longer the period of collecting), the greater the perception of enlightenment, the lesser the tolerance for innocent questions and more bloated, the ego.
