My sister returned from her holiday to Eastern Canada! And she got to meet Martin (Tintin). I asked him for some tips and ideas some months before she left. He got in contact with her before the trip, gave me some folders and maps at the meeting in Amsterdam and last but not least, invited my sister to his home, and made a delicious dinner. My sister said it was the best food she had during the whole trip. She also loved the house and had a great time at the place.

Martin is the best! punk beer cheesy

Wow... Diner Chez Martin, ha! cheesy

Well, what made my day: I finished one of my papers. It was a tough one. Especially with everyone around me enjoying summer and the holidays and all... I could have finished it a lot earlier, but I guess I always need the pressure unfortunately, so I won't have many days off before we leave for France.

Still one to go though! But I'm sooooo relieved this one is done. beer

    Well done Bregje. punk

When do you have to finish the others?

I also need pressure before it moves a bit. Give me deadline for the new forum, and it'll go well. Although, now there's no other forum that'll shut down!

Yeah, weird how the mind works like that... I gave myself a deadline too (I believe it was June 1st), but I didn't take it seriously. Now the real deadline is coming closer (september 1st) and that works well.

Even when I know I'll have more time off, it just doesn't work.
Ahhh, pressure. Without pressure I feel lost in space.

Man, you won't even believe what's happening in Ayia Napa these days when it comes to hot juicy bikini asses, tourists, local babes etc etc. I tell you man, it's all breath-taking, and heart-attack inducing.

I just found (by accident!) a trick on the internet that makes my Philips BluRay player region free! Woohoo, I can watch Apocalypse Now and Days of Heaven again!

EDIT: Too bad I just heard that it only works for DVD, though, and not BluRay discs... rolleyes

The way we get round that conundrum in our house is to set up a wired connection between a laptop and the PS3 and download BluRay rips (in 1080p with DTS preferably) onto the laptop into a folder synced with the PS3 and 'stream' the movie from the laptop to the PS3 using an ethernet cable. Since PS3's only accept hard drives and flash drives that have been formatted to FAT32, and FAT32 can't -for some reason- export/import any file larger that 4GB, we have to use this ethernet connection set up to get round the problem. But it works a treat, and we can download a full HD movie during the night and have it ready to watch the next day on a 40" full HD TV with 5.1 surround sound. Not a bad set up for a student house!

....wait, no...er, I mean we buy BluRays from a shop and pay full recommended retail price every time.
    That's what I meant. Yeah.

Hmm... Too much hassle for me. And, I don't own a PS3. plus, I do buy official BR's wink. No, I'm afraid I will have to buy me another BR for Region A titles.

It sounds more of a hassle than it is, it's quite easy to set up with any laptop. Once it's set up, you have a library of *cough* free *cough* movies to choose from using the PS3! It's awesome. The only problem is hard drive space, which as you can imagine quickly disappears.
