It has to be just before sunrise or after sunset, because it has to reflect the sunlight.
Well, I know for sure now that my ISS Lite app sucks. Since you saw the ISS pass with the calculations of Heaven's Above I know now the website is right and my app is wrong. For instance there was an invisible pass yesterday at 16:06 (altitude 87) but at my app the pass right above my location was 15 minutes later at 16:21... -

I'm not sure what your "invisible pass" could have been. The ISS takes about 90 minutes to do a complete journey around Earth. Maybe your app is set to a different location rather for your location? Though that seems unlikely. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Apparently the shuttle has landed so it is just the ISS on show from now on.The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Tim I'm getting mixed messages. BBC news were reporting it landed but my app as well as Heaven's Above are saying not. Keep a look out for the shuttle too!The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

I looked for it but didn't see it. I think I went outside about 90 seconds too late.

Anne and I spent the day at an RSPB reserve at Conwy - just along the North Wales coast - today. The sun was out and it was quite quiet compared with the weekend. And we must have brought the average age of the people there (both in front of and behind the counter) by a significant margin.
The tide was in so there was not much to see on the estuary but the lagoons had a good selection of regulars for viewing. There were even plenty of frogs to see in the pools as well as quite a bit of frog spawn.
For anyone with a passing interest in bird life some highlights seen included many Canada geese, great crested grebes, little egrets, curlew and several red-breasted mergansers.
A nice and relaxing time was had by all - except maybe for the female Canada geese. But I suppose that it is that time of year. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Sounds lovely Alan.
I think I've mentioned before how rubbish I am at recognising bird species, in exotic locales I'm like 'oh, that ones pretty and colourful', even here in blighty I confuse Ravens, Blackbirds, jackdaws etc....I'm hopeless. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

If I go outside and look in the general direction from where the call of a tawny owl is coming from can I count it as having "seen" it?The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -
