My friend got his Ratatouille CD signed as well (which I would have done, but I don't have a copy).

You really should get it, a fine work it be.

I've had it since its release. Alas, in MP3 form.

Though so special a score it is to me, I should really take your advice...
  1. Gonna buy it myself one day too smile I also have it in MP3.

Would be great to have some resourceful fansite to all things Giacchino... With some indepth info on his lesser known unreleased music and such (like many of his game music, which are mindblowing at times). Seeing how you take care of the Powell page, this project will be another Anthony masterpiece!!

    Steven wrote
Hopefully he'll have a little involvement from time time. I get the feeling that Giacchino really appreciates his fans... especially considering he signed three CDs for me! cheesy

I'm with Anthony. He better have a complete work to show first, Giacchino doesn't know how Anthony is and what he's capable of.

If I were Giacchino, and somebody sent me his "Four Trombones" work, I´d be totally in for requests and support at the very first second. I´ve barely seen such passion and effort in a particular subject as the one I saw (and enjoyed) with Anthony´s work.

That's a good point, how could I forget that!? Thing is, will he appreciate the copyright issues as Anthony rightly pointed out?

Well, I think it´s pretty clear that Anthony´s motivation is far from taking any kind of profit of Giacchino´s music.

True, I think there's very little chance that Giacchino would have any problems with it. It's not as though we're talking about Horner here! tongue
  5. What's the timeline on the filming & post-production?

I'm just wondering that, if the music has been recorded, how much cutting-and-pasting of the music will occur once the film has been locked down.

The pics are awesome, but the fact that Paramount won't even let the actual scoring pics be released early is stupid. Understandably, there's gag orders to protect the film's plot and everything, but most of the scoring sessions are just pics of the composer working with the orchestra and managing the sound mix in the booth.

Even the number of pieces used for the Star Trek score is kept under wraps? Man, Hollywood is so secretive all of a sudden. It's better than a blackout session, but still...
