Yes, because that recording isn't on the DVD.
Trust me, for the main season alone, get the blu ray version. The picture quality is astounding. -

Cool Anthony! Keep it this way
On the other hand:
"Michael Giacchino will be the Honorary President of Úbeda 2010. He also offered himself to colaborate in the future editions of the festival and to bring to Úbeda 2010, through his contacts in Hollywood, important composers. Patrick Doyle has accepted the role of advisor for the next edition, while Robert Townson keeps his work as artistic director. The director of the Festival and Patrick Doyle are having a meeting within september to start working on next year´s edition".Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

They damn well should. Even I don't know if I'll bother trekking out there for a third time, regardless of who is there. Once is enough, twice is just as tiring. -

Well, either we like it or not, the festival taking place in Úbeda is part of the charm of the event itself. And trust me, a 9 hour trip by train / car is not what I like the most. I can understand that coming from abroad is even more tiring. I think it´s worthwhile though!Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Rumour alert - at the Pixar Planet forums, word is that Japan's Disney music distributor Avex is allegedly planning to release the UP soundtrack in limited edition on CD too. Remember, this is just rumour and not confirmed in anyway. Fingers crossed it's true, though! -
- CommentTimeOct 2nd 2009 edited
I think the rumor is solely based on the words on a poster - "Soundtrack disc will be available on Walt Disney Records". A person on an internet board had asked about it to Avex directly, and their answer was "The release is not scheduled so far"
I guess they just copy & pasted the words from BOLT poster or something...
But that person on the board said he will try to ask Avex for the CD release. I hope the rumor will come true...Labels are for cans, not people. - Anthony Rapp -

BTW they finally released Up here in India last week, it's Hindi title loosely translates to "Up, Up and Away!"
My local cinema is playing only Hindi dubbed versions anyway, so I guess I'll wait for the DVD. -

What? India gets it sooner than the UK!?
7 more days... -
- CommentTimeOct 2nd 2009 edited
Why should the UK get Pixar films so late? What is the point of that? -
- CommentTimeOct 2nd 2009
It's releasing even later in other countries (eg: December in Japan, I think). -

Yeah, it premiered in Norway last week too. Haven't seen it, though. I'm not really comfortable going to kid movies anymore. I'll wait untill it's out on DVD.I am extremely serious. -

A question for fans of Lost.
You've got sixty minutes to fill. What's your "Best of Lost" playlist? (Only allowed to use tracks which are on CD!)
Thanks. -

Mah Lost season 2 analysis is complete.
Going to have a break before season 3 as it isn't out on blu until the end of the month. Hopefully all five seasons should be done in time for the final one to start! -

Are we in it at all? I still can't get over how our concert seats were right next to eachother! (well almost, the clone-Marcel was technically next to me but he was kind enough to swap). -

Yeah it was indeed by pure chance we were next to each other. That means we made the registration almost at the same time!

Did Earth Days really completely pass this forum or did I miss it?
I think, that score is quite beautiful to listen to. Very soothing and relaxing but for some parts maybe a tad too depressing...
What do you think? -

If you do a search for Earth Days you'll find that a few people reviewed it in the Now Playing thread(s).

Yeah, we talked about it but really, it's passable.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -
- CommentTimeNov 6th 2009
There are a few good cues that make it quite worthwhile, in my opinion. They are like lighter, more meandering versions of the emotional stuff from Lost. But there is also a lot of rather boring filler.I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to! -
- CommentTimeNov 6th 2009
Indeed. ALL the LOST material is ages better. That's why it's passable, it doesn't offer anything new or better than what we got in the already excellent LOST musical universe.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -
- CommentTimeNov 6th 2009
Agreed. It is passable.
But it is still a worthy purchase for Giacchino nutsI love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!
