The best thing here is that a Democrat president with a Democrat house makes for the possibility of some non-partisan decision making.

    How do you figure that?

You're largely fooled if you really think that what goes on in the US doesn't affect you where you live.

I know, but I hardly care about our problems in Belgium (which we have a lot off), why would I be bothered by the ones in other countries? That's typical about Belgium, we are so quiet in these times of crisis, we are hardly heard

I guess that's why they put the headquarters of the entire European Union in your country.
    I am extremely serious.

I don't feel like laughing with the realization that one of the most (if not THE most) powerful nations of the modern world was led for so many years by this complete retard.

  5. I wouldn't call him a RETARD, really. The guy has a degree, was the boss of a company for quite a while. I've heard though that he has unattended ADHD,which made him sound like a retard.

I second what Demetris just said.Having a degree or running a company does not mean that your mind works in the correct way.The guy we are talking about is a major example. And I'm sure that most of us know people with degrees who are less than compitent.

    Oh, I don't know.
While the Bush administration is not without faults (and I would cite the allowance of an unbridled free market economy without any checks and balances even WITH the lessons learned from the 2001 crash and financial scandals as the major one), I, for one, am not too unhappy with their foreign policy. While their commitment to international treaties (Kyoto...) leaves something to be desired, their decisive decision in tackling UN gridlocks is admirable.
(As most here know I was and am in complete favour of the ingressions into Afghanistan and Iraq. LONG overdue!)
