I was brought up like that. Many times my friends told me that i should try to enter cinema because they believe i could be best comedian in movies. biggrin You know sometimes, i will land in trouble because of too much sense of humor that i possess, for e.g take MT members, most of them still not able to understand my fun nature. That's quite pitiable stage. Hmmm.... only time will reveal my true nature to MT members. biggrin biggrin

An OK film. It's nice to get a film every once in a while that is so focused on music. smile And it's also cool to know that it's a true story.

Inspired by a true story and cheesed up for Hollywood, obviously. How does the Marianelli score work in the film? Is it chopped up and all over the place?

I may not get the meaning of the word 'mirth' but I totally get the meaning of your post. It is so obvious mere words cannot describe it. wink

Nope. But when i was in school, i was in basketball team, during my training period, i used to make fun of others and crack jokes. They called me fine entertainer than basketball player. biggrin My coach used to tell me, "what the hell you are doing here? you should join in circus, show your antics over there, this is not the place", but my friends supported me lot and i just carried my sense of humor ahead. You know, this is my plus point, i build relationship with others through my sense of humor. Honestly speaking, every human being in this should have sense of humor, that will definitely make our life beautiful and wonderful. That's the reason i love this kind forum very much, it provides great opportunity for me to connect with world people. It unites the whole world. What do you say?

I don't suppose anyone involved would consider this their finest hour, but it's a reasonable action film boosted by beautiful scenery and some great sequences in the raft. Jerry Goldsmith's score is largely effective but this one really is spoiled by the horribly cheap synth percussion.

    Just watched K2

What a load of old nonsense, Mel and I took the piss out of this all the way through and laughed ourselves silly. On that reason alone I score the film 10 / 10 biggrin

Zimmer's score was exceptionally cheesy though I do admit I enjoy it.

I'm a bit confused by this. I thought Zimmer's score was rejected? Or was it retained in the European version of the film, perhaps? Or have I got it completely wrong? Questions, questions!

I had intended to watch the film too - but forgot it was on tv. sad Sounds like I missed out on a really good bad film!

    Breach

I had been looking forward to seeing this since it first came out but was slightly disappointed. A true story about an FBI man who was selling secrets to the Russians, and his arrest; but it was all so hum-drum! Brilliant Mychael Danna score though.

Indeed, specially the last part of the film.

The director had the European release of the film rescored by Zimmer. It's rather like Chaz Jankel's score was rejected for the European release and rescored by Zimmer. I guess it's the other way around to the way Goldsmith's score was treated in Legend.

I liked the film a lot. Saw the movie twice, read the book, and watched the 60 Minute segment. The score was primarily a lot of Beethoven which was Ayre's inspiration.

I watched Deadly Mantis last night. It starred Craig "Peter Gunn" Stevens and William "Perry Mason" Hopper. Most of the music came right out of the Universal library. There was a lot of documentary footage mixed in too.

    Inglourious Basterds

It's a film about killing Nazis by Tarantino, that's all you really need to know. Brilliant film.

It's far too late to write a review.

  5. Tried watching "The Bodyguard" again the other day. Not necessarily a bad film, but ... I just couldn't find the interest level to see it again. Just a film I feel I only need to see probably once for the rest of my life.

I personally believe this is one of Silvestris' best scores.
