NP: Defiance - James Newton Howard

I still say this score not getting an Oscar is great injustice.

Unoriginal for the most part. But still great fun!
I've always loved the kid's theme (often played by flute). Beautiful theme there! cool

Well, nothing to LOVE in there for sure, but i thought it was quite an entertaining, brainless RC score when played loud and brain switched off.

Jordi, how or why do you continually spell composers names wrongly?

NP: LoTR: Return Of The King (Complete) - Howard Shore

Lighting Of The Beacons is my track of the day. I can't describe how much I love this score! It has almost everything I look for in a score - majesty, grandeur, action, drama, heroism, villanous and emotion, and it fits the movie spot on, IMO. Truly excellent work!

We make mistakes all the time. But nothing so glaringly obvious as "Hiashai". Why not take your time when you post a reply? You might find it beneficial. wink

I'm in a melancholic mood these days so played music that won't cheer me up for sure:

The House of the Spirits - Hans Zimmer

I know that this is a relatively old score but I bought my copy at e-bay a month ago so for me it's new. And I quite like it.

    Cuore Sacro - Andrea Guerra

Very beautiful music for a weird movie. The mixing of a symphonic orchestra and electronic rhythms has never been better. Highly recommended!

Got mine, super fast delivery from SAE... applause

    NP: You guessed right !!!!

This is the sound that got me into film music, I just love this 80s Horner style, highly energetic and consistently thematic. While I have learned over the years the music is full of rips, I cannot deny its fun factor and its ability to tuck at the heart strings (the theme heard in 'Flying Szalinsky' and 'Night Time' is absolutely beautiful). Dammit, I want more of this kind of scoring. Original or not, I just don't give a flying f**k. cheesy It worked in the movie and it damn sure works on compact disc. punk

I agree with EVERYTHING you said. Original or not, Honey is probably one of the Honer's most enjoyable scores ever! What a ride!

I don't know how ANYONE could NOT like John Barry's music. This is simply gorgeous stuff! Excellent work by Kaproff in capturing that Barry sound! Bravo Intrada for releasing this gem! I've just added "Goodbye" to an ever expanding MY FAVORITES playlist! A superb score!

Up Next: U-571 - Jerry Golds... err... Richard Marvin

Shameless Air Force One rip off but what an entertaining ride!

Lovely as Goodbye is I'm surprised you didn't choose The Frolic over that? My personal favourite track on the album. I totally agree with you on Kaproff's scoring which meshes very well with Barry's material.
