Eagle Eye is so damn bad film that Im really going to think it's funny with purpose. But I guess it's unintentionally. ( I really enjoyed disturbia, though)
If not, I can't understand what mind did this film......All is so stupid, unverosimil and over the top that you never can entry into the movie.
Now I've seen it to, explain yourself more. Why did you think it was so stupid? I mean...it was stupid, but it was as exciting as hell! If anything, all potential plot holes can be filled by the source of all the mayhem.
It's just that Jordi has - unfortunately a very odd (like it always was basically) but - sadly and very unlike his initial views in general - very grim view on everything fun lately. Don't know why, possibly a broken lady or something?
How I said all movie needs a little sense of plausibility if you want to go in.
Take "Wanted" as an example, it can't be more over the top, but it never insults your inteligence. So if you want a Popcorn movie watch Wanted, the new Hulk movie or take any frilm from the master : Michael Bay.
And Im not a very exigent viewer in terms of PopCorn. I loved things like :Jumper, The happening, Kung Fu Panda or Hanckok!
Im sure you will share my Opinion with Eagle Eye, Demetris. -

If anything, Wanted looks more unrealistic than Eagle Eye (curving bullets? come on), but I'm totally willing to accept that just because it's going to be another thrill ride. Frankly, the DVD should be arriving today or Monday, so I'll let you know.

Ah, there we go. I haven't seen The Happening or Kentucky Fried Panda, but Jumper and Hancock were trash. I still fail to see how Eagle Eye is lacking plausibility, as those two films took it to extreme levels. If anything, Eagle Eye is the one thing that's most likely to happen out of those films -

It's got a serious identity problem. It starts off as an action comedy, then becomes a drama, then becomes an action thriller, then drama again, and a superhero film right at the end.

I've heard that the film was heavily cut. I wonder how would the director's cut would look like.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

Lost Season 4 (the DVD extras)
While they don't give you the Lost Symphony, I'm not that fussed. There are a few clips from it, but as the name suggests, everything has been reorchestrated for a full orchestra, and it sounds bizarre. What you do get though is an excellent 30 minute piece with tons of comments on the music from cast and crew, Giacchino going through some of the themes and even footage of the recording sesions from the pilot! -

My weekend homework continues with Wanted - another ludicrously over the top shoot 'em up movie that does more with guns than probably any film since The Matrix. Like Eagle Eye last night, plausibility goes completely out the window, but it doesn't particularly matter when you're watching two people trying to kill each other on a high speed train that is half hanging off a bridge with a car smashed through its side.
Another 4/5 popcorn movie! Go see this too (or buy the DVD)!
A bizarre pattern seems to be emerging though - the three best films I've seen this year - The Dark Knight, Eagle Eye and now Wanted - are all set in Chicago. It's very odd seeing places I was back in July while on holiday (especially in Batman where on a couple of occasions I can actually say "I've stood right next to that street light.")

Well at least Wild Wild West had its moments (of comedy and action) that are not to be found in Hancock. Not a very good movie though.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

IMHO, Wild Wild West and NO moments. I haven't seen Hancock yet but my Dad loved so I'll check it out on DVD.

Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea
Miyazaki proves again what a huge imagination he has. But overall the movie is not as great as most of his work. The "walk in the waves" scene is superb though (both picture and score). One of the most beautiful sequences I´ve watched lately.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

The Dead Zone (dir. David Cronenberg)
I hadn't seen this in ages. It's a good Cronenberg "gore-lite" movie, beautifully shot, featuring a great turn from Christopher Walken (and I love Brooke Adams in this one) and a wonderful score from Michael Kamen.
The main theme is a bit overused and sometimes it feels a bit heavy-handed but this score always brings a tear to my eye and adds so much sadness to Johnny's predicament. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Boston vs. Tampa Bay - Game 6 play-off game
Unfortunately I was one of those people who didn't expect the Red Sox to come back from being eliminated in Game 5. Down 7-0 at the bottom of the 7th, I left the game. So when I saw that there was an "as live" replay of Game 6 this afternoon I sat down an watched to see if Boston could extend the series to a Game 7 tonight - and they did!!
Now I have to consider whether it's worth staying up to the early hours of Monday morning to see the decider...The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Go Boston!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One more game baby.
I'm from Florida, and I hate all these seasonal fans for the Rays. I've always been a Boston fan. I hope they can bring it.

If you mean for Game 7 I think that Boston are on a bit of a roll now - even though Tampa Bay have the homefield advantage. The Red Sox's history of great comebacks I'm sure will play on the opposition's minds and if Boston get off to a good start then it's going to be difficult for the home team.
Francona's late game choices with his bullpen in Game 6 before going to closer Papelbon will hopefully mean than he's a bit fresher tonight and could be called upon earlier in the game if he's required to keep any tight lead that Boston may have gotten late in the game. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Oh man! I love that movie! I'm a sucker for those "gifted/special characters misunderstood by people" kind of films.
So it should come as no surprise that I saw yesterday...
Powder
A special boy (albino, an exceptionally high IQ, and 'electric' powers) is given much trouble by the rest of the townsfolk. Some of the plot points follow the standard cliches for movies of this type. But it's an entertaining watch on the whole. It funny how Jeff Goldblum has played the guy-in-awe-of-science character for so long.
A fabulous score by Jerry Goldsmith. Haunting main theme! -

Haven't seen it for a long time but I remember it as being good. It's very close to King's book too.
Until Shawshank came along this may well have been the closest King adaptation!?On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Righteous Kill
Sad, very sad to see Robert De Niro and Al Pacino together in such a mess. I assume they´ve received dozens of scripts during their careers to work together (and I mean together, not in the same film where they don´t share a single line), so, why did they choose this one? Ahhh, mysteries.
Edward Shearmur is there by the way, but could be anyone.
