    Limey Brits!
Damn! Missed the opportunity for a proper good pun. angry

    biggrin

    Saw THE HAPPENING last night.

    M. Night Shyamalan seems to go from bad to worse, what clunky acting and what an awful script, I didn't believe a word anyone said it was so convictionless.

Not much more than an extended episode of The Twilight Zone it did have an eerie feel to it and this is helped by JNH's score which is pretty good but overall it was very forgettable.

At this rate his films will soon be going direct to DVD ( blu-ray ) and he won't be able to afford the like of JNH ; I really hope he hits the ground running with his next venture.

More horror later tonight, I'm going to watch THE MIST.

Eye of the Devil with David Niven. Score is by Gary McFarland which was recently released by FSM. This is also the debut film of Sharon Tate. I like the score especially some of the harp work done. As for this devil worship film its downright weird.

Right-o. Haven't seen the movie, but I commented on the score being quite lovely in "Now Playing", myself, a few days ago.

Started watching recently: the anime series Death Note.

    SEE IT!!!!!!!!!! shocked shocked shocked

    The Mist?

Or in my case, since I didn't get to see it, I should probably spell it "The Missed"?

Best horror film I've seen in ages! Very creepy, very H.P. Lovecraft even.

I can see exactly why this was a flop at the U.S. box office.....no kissy kissy feel good ending here.

Watched Jurassic Park in remembrance of Crichton. I would love to have the original feeling of watching the film as a five year-old in theaters for the first time. For one of those kids obsessed with dinosaurs it was one of the greatest experiences ever.

Didn't make any difference to me as an adult. I was a kid obsessed with Dinosaurs ( who am I kidding....I still AM! ) and finally seeing them brought to "life" in JP brought tears of wonder and joy to my eyes, probaly the last experience at the cinema where I was truly blown away.

    You 'n' me both, man.
It all came together SO beautifully, with absolutely astounding visuals, excellent direction and utterly majestic music. Spielberg manipulated us dinofreaks to the last strand of DNA in our bodies, bless 'im. smile

Getting that movie for TONIGHT (or maybe Friday...then I can watch it later without worrying about a working day next day smile ).
I'm an absolute Lovecraft NUT, and ANYTHING approaching his unique style of the horrific (unfortunately many try, and almost none succeed) peaks my interest with several thousand percent!

It helps probably that I already think The Mist is King's very best novella ever, so now expectations are high!

Commendable, except your own question was "what is your favourite colour"? (and typing with it doesn't count)

The best thing about the 20th Century Fox film (imported from Britain), The Undying Monster, is the David Raksin/Emil Newman score and even that is lacking in a couple of areas.
    listen to more classical music!

Anyone notice that when you click and drag an animated icon, the browser freezes the transparent copy it in whatever state it was at the time you clicked on it?

Furthermore, anyone notice how little this matters?
