Ack. I hope it gets better for you Thor.
I need to get a check up but have been postponing it with much trepidation. I'm afraid I might be facing some sort of hearing loss. -

It's the second day of no heat in my apartment. They're still trying to fix it. The temperature in my room in the morning was 50 F. Night times are worse.
We found bed bugs in my bed frame and for the last couples of weeks I've been waking in the middle of the night, scanning my bed and sheets (and killing the bugs) and going back to sleep. Today the pest control came in and did the 1st round of treatment. All my belongings are in sealed bags in the living room which now resembles a dumping ground.
I have a paper submission due tomorrow and none of the results look good.
An interesting confluence of events. -

50 F, that's 10 C, a normal temperature for me when I sleep. I can't sleep if it's too hot. Sorry to hear about your bugs, though. Strange that there are so many bugs in the winter season.I am extremely serious. -

Revision. It's been 18 months since I've had to revise for anything and right now I'm certain it'd be more fun just to poke needles in my eyes. -

Wow! The fond memories. I seldom hear this word in the exam context. Way back in school, it was common to tease others saying that you hadn't started studying but they were already on the 2nd revision!

Oh, 50F is quite manageable with a proper blanket. But it was colder than that and I didn't want to use the comforter and give the bugs a chance to hide in the comforter too. I threw away all the bed covers and put new ones instead.

Haha! That's an apt observation!
What a difference a week makes! The heat in the apartment is back on. Our unit has been treated for bedbugs and I think they're gone (and I can sleep peacefully at night). The paper deadline got extended by a couple of days and I got all my results and submitted it last night. -
