Oh, I've seen the said scene but that's just too obvious not to be funny! It's just as funny as Wax On, Wax Off.

I forget how it's in the original but Fresh Prince Jr. has to do that whole routine for a half an hour in film time, before Jackie reveals why he has to do it. So looking at it like that I guess it's funny."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

That song and video clip is the most disgusting thing i've heard and seen this year; at least it got to be an internet meme and we at least got some laugh out of that atrocity. I think Willis is to be kicked in the face for turning his kids into giant ego-maniac douchebags already.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

I never really loved the original myself, so maybe that's why you have stronger feelings for it.

Eric for your information, I've gone into hiding. I will stay anonymous. I will not get into trouble. And I will not prefer The Kung Fu Kid over The Karate Kid.
At least not while you're around.

Raging Bull (blu-ray)
2nd viewing of this Scorsese classic. I don't know why I never got around to watching this in my earlier years. Maybe cause it's in black / white, maybe cause I thought it would be boring... Which it is not. Suffice it to say I have corrected that mistake. This film is incredible, mainly thanks to a wonderful production design, and because of that legendary performance by one Mr. De Niro. But the other actors were fantastic as well, mainly Joe Pesci and Cathy Moriarty. What got me most was how the Jake La Motta was a horrendous human being, while being an incredible boxing legend. I love how Scorsese puts these two extremes on the foreground, and the film has some really disturbing scenes, depicting La Motta's violent and jealous nature. And was that a real brick wall in that jail cell?
This really is a classic thanks to an amazing performance and I'm happy to have finally seen it, I will do so again in the future."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Ah, come on. It's just a kid. He didn't steal your house or anything. And I loved his performance in The Karate Kid, and the little I saw from him and Will at The Pursue of Happiness -

Exactly. He did a fine job in Kung Fu... I mean Karate Kid. Loved the film and the weight he added to it.
And what he ever did to D, I guess we'll never know. Maybe he's too ashamed to tell us.

Pride and Glory
Liked the realistic setting, characters and depth to the story which is about dirty cops and how it can rip apart people relationships, with standout performances from everyone, including Noah Emmerich, Colin Farrell and Edward Norton. Definitely gritty and intense, with actual character development, this movie had me glued to the screen, resulting in a dramatic but not unexpected ending. Highly recommended."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

Me too! Mindless, stoopido fun, and where else can you see a tube train narrowly miss hitting an aircraft and a giant submarine crashing into mount Everest.

Indeed! A pity about the score though, which is just crap. -

While I enjoyed Raging Bull like many of you I have to give the nod to Requiem For A Heavyweight as a boxing movie. Better story.

Gone Baby Gone
Wow! Ben Affleck directing? Well if he didn't quite make an impact in acting (I think he's fairly okay as an actor), he sure will as a director if he keeps this level of quality in his work. This movie asks some very profound questions and Ben leaves it up to the audience to respond in their own way. It tells the story of a child having been abducted, and when a duo of private investigators (Casey Affleck & Michelle Monaghan) get involved in the case, everything will change forever for everyone involved. Ben Affleck didn't hold back to show the nasty, marginal side of society in a realistic depiction of lowlife Boston and knows how to keep the viewer interested by asking some very tough questions. Whether the viewer wants them answered, Ben leaves that up to the person in question. I like how the movie ended and it left me with a mixed feeling. Very good job Ben!
