it's not orginal? it's not original if you are familiar with Zimmer most intimate scores, but original for the rest of composers.
Um... no it isn't. The whole thing is 100% Morricone. But it's the best Morricone pastiche I've heard in a while.
Ahhhhhhh! So that's why I like what I've heard.

Very good in a RC kinda way with some superb ending cues.
The ending is almost always the best bit of RC cues.
But not only because It's actually ending ?
Yup. Those final microseconds of silence in between the music ending and the next track beginning usually hold far more musical merit than anything that surrounds them.

I like the first album, BLOOD+. The 2nd installment is pretty uninspired and messy though.Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

Anyone who doesn't like lists look away now.
I'm just reviewing some of my favourite tracks from new releases in 2009 - something I'll be doing over the next couple of days:

"Does It Still McFly?" - Star Trek - Michael Giacchino
"The Movie Theater" - The Final Destination - Brian Tyler
"Opening Titles" - Bodyguard: A New Beginning - Stuart Hancock
"Panic, Shear Bloody Panic" - Sherlock Holmes - Hans Zimmer
"Welcome To Lunar Industries" - Moon - Clint Mansell
"And Just Like That" - A Single Man - Abel Korzeniowski
"In Noctem" - Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince - Nicholas Hooper
"Fight Unlimited" - Bionic Commando - Jamie Christopherson
"Flight To Wales" - Amelia - Gabriel Yared
"Main Titles" - No-Do - Alfons Conde
"Drag Me To Hell" - Drag Me To Hell - Christopher Young
"Camino a Damasco" - Pablo de Tarso - Andres Tejero
"The Uninvited" - The Uninvited - Christopher Young
"The Imaginarium" - The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus - Mychael & Jeff Danna
"Venice Escape" - Assassin's Creed II - Jesper Kyd
"Einstein's Wrong" - Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen - Steve Jablonsky
"Track 21" - The Triumphant General Rouge - Naoki Sato
"Cadence of Steel" - Order of War - Jeremy Soule
"The Clock Is Always Ticking" - Echelon Conspiracy - Bobbi Tahouri
...and finishing off today with James Peterson's "Death and Resurrection" from The Red Canvas.
I like the mix of this small selection from 2009: a mix of blockbusters and lesser-known scores, movies, TV and game scores. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Classic Western Scores From M.G.M. Volume 2. It includes Northwest Passage, Many Rivers To Cross, A Thunder of Drums, and The Godchild.
If you enjoy western music in different styles (4 different decades are represented), this one could be right up your alley. If you don't consider this a favorite genre, it would be hard to recommend at $34.95 plus shipping. Personally, I enjoyed the Sukman/A Thunder of Drums.
