NP: P.S. I LOVE YOU - JOHN POWELL

Like all romantic comedy scores, it's light, fluffy and totally inoffensive but so enjoyable and pleasant to listen to. I like it a lot actually.

    Gorgeous main theme.

Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

NP: ON THE BEACH - CHRISTOPHER GORDON

A superb score from a composer who really should get more exposure in the film-scoring world. If I were to direct a film (or organise a major international sports event) I'd be mightily tempted to hire this guy. Such a talent.

What is the movie about? Is that a remake of a movie from the 50s? 60s? about aftermath of a nuclear attack?

Yes, it's a mini-series remake of the old movie. Not bad, but not very good either. The music in a whole class of its own.
    I am extremely serious.
  2. Breaking and Entering Yared and Underworld

Contemplative, stylish and moody. I don't listen to this that often but I enjoy it more with every listen. This is great stuff.

He'd be my #1 choice for scoring the upcoming AVENGERS movie.

It also has one of the most awful CD covers I've ever seen, it certainly doesn't sell the great music contained.

  3. NP: The Eye - The Secret of Kells (Bruno Coulais)

    Very Coraline-esque.

You put the physical CD into your computer and then you get a download link. I don't think the download is available in... other places.

    Faccia a Faccia - Ennio

Hooray! More Ennio. Looking through my Morricone collection, there are at least 30 albums where I have absolutely no idea what the music is like. There's every chance I've never even listened to them. (Though this isn't one of those - I already knew how good it is - decided to "unexpand" it and rearrange the longer album to be like the short one, only with better sound.)
