    Sleuth - Patrick Doyle

A nice enough departure for Doyle, but it does become almost unbearably repetitive by the end, with virtually the same revolving idea repeated over and over to within an inch of its life!!!

What a surprise! biggrin I haven´t heard it. My last try to find Doyle´s music attractive again (The Last Legion) failed on a lot of levels, though I found some tracks of it refreshing, but nearly not enough to make me one happy Doyle fan. God, I hate those cymbals... not usually, but the way he uses them...

The main theme it's OK, but the rest of the score does nothing to me. A total bore.

    Do you have Tyler's Dune?

Not brilliant but it has some moments.

What I have to do for your thoughts about Pirates suites??? sad

    NP:Just Good Busines

I love the sound of the percusions and metals!!! I wonder how ZImmer make this sound!!!

Only with a 3 notes theme you can make a 6 minutes track, with a lot of rytmic variations and a few instruments!

This track could fit very well in Total Recall Or Aliens!

Yes, i have Children of Dune.
It's not a masterpiece or something like that, but at least it's an enjoyable listen. That's something i can't say for Revell's Dune.

    Agree.
I think Secret Weapons Over Normandy is his best work followed by the first Medal of Honor and then Frontline and Underground.
The first movie score in my list would be Ratatouille (one of 2007 best scores) and MI3 (even if this is a mix of all his previous scores for videogames + Lost).

I would recommend the main theme from Seven Years in Tibet, though it doesn't fulfil all your criteria (and is better than anything that does, as a result)

NP: Harry Gregson Williams - Sinbad

I discovered this jewel only recently and find that it gets better with each listen. Swashbuckling at its best.

If some of you don´t know it, do yourself a favour and change that as soon as possible, out of a magnitude of reasons.
