I talked on the phone to one of my best girl-friends for an hour (it was her birthday today), so naturally I feel pretty good about it. She said it was the best present that she got.
And I also mailed a copy of Speed 2 that I had bought for a friend's birthday.Revenge is sweet... Revenge is best served cold... Revenge is ice cream. -

Sian Evans is a friend of mine...
http://sian-evans.com/
It's the new British # 1 in the charts, Sian has had chart success in the past with her band Kosheen. I'm not keen on this track but I love Sian who's mad as a box of frogs. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

What made my week: I have six weeks off!
On monday I went shopping for fun stuff, such as books & postcards, music, paint.
I bought Avatar and Inception (I had a copy of Inception first
). I also ordered How To Train Your Dragon. Can't wait! It will take 2-3 weeks though...
I always love fun shopping!

SIX WEEKS????
I was wrong, it is seven weeks!
The kids, primary education, have six weeks.
Tough job, many weeks off.
Believe it or not, in schoolweeks we work more than we get paid for, so average through the year we work (if full time) the same as in a normal 36 hours a week job. -

Why will it take 2-3 weeks Bregje?
I don't know... import?
What worries me more is if I will receive an e-mail in two weeks saying "sorry, this product cannot be delivered". In that case I could have ordered from Amazon or something right away. -

I hate you.

I think that's pretty normal these days.
I easily overrun my 40 hours by five to ten or so hours a week.
I just hate to leave things unfinished.
so average through the year we work (if full time) the same as in a normal 36 hours a week job.
36 hours is NORMAL???
(just kidding. I think in education 36 hours IS the norm, isn't it? Which is a crock, because NO full-time teacher I know -and I know quite a few- works less than 40.
...but then of course there IS this little benefit of SEVEN WEEKS summer holidays... )'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

Yep, it is a huge benefit. A good time for other projects. Like a mini-sabbatical each year.
Well, I can recommend working in education. I had my first year in secondary education, which wasn't easy, but I'm over a certain line where I know I can do it too and it will only get better from here. It takes years to learn and then some more years and even experienced people still learn, so you have to like that. New challenges all the time. Oh, and you have to like adolescents a bit.
I also like people who work in education, they are so divers and all bring their own knowledge about their subject and their own experience of life. That goes for any job with colleagues of course, but for some reason people in education are very development-minded and have divers interests. I really enjoy having colleagues now!
