Actually the EastEnders theme tune was the first time I realized about the music in a tv show (along with The Blackadder).
Well, the Eastenders theme has been hailed time and again (and with good reason!) as one of the most powerful TV series anthems ever: the Ten Drums have become rightly famous as being immediately recognisable.
Doesn't stop me from hating it with every fibre of my body though.
I agree but you're too young to remember that there was a time that it was actually good.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Well, this thread has been treading uncharted waters for me. More names that I'd never heard of than in a phone book.
But what's about to make my day better: today is the building-wide designated day for office parties. Don't expect much serious work from me today. Expect much eating.''The mandate, as well as the benefit, of responsibility is the ability to tell when one can afford to be irresponsible.'' - Me -

Those celebrities must be proud of you as well; you must be the only person ever to have recognized them walking down the street

So you consider one Brit, one Spaniard and one Dutchie (hey! Three former world Empires! What a coincidence!) all as Brits?
God, we really should annex Greece as a protectorate again.

In Norway, we have a tradition called Julebord ("Christmas Table"), hailing back to medieval times, where various groups of people meet to eat and drink (workplaces, friends etc.) around Christmas time. It starts as early as November and is a source of controversy because it's one of those times when the secretary hits on the boss or vice versa (for example....not to mention the raving drunk people in the streets). It's certainly a sight.
Currently, I'm preparing for the first out of two such Christmas tables in a row. Today is my workplace....300 people, a penthouse restaurant overlooking Oslo and lots of celebrities (obviously, since I work in a TV production company). Tomorrow is another, but with 15 of my friends at a restaurant. And there's a work day inbetween! Requires some stamina, for sure.
Any such traditions in your country?I am extremely serious. -
