I remember an old training partner of mine who had a small amount of interest in film scores asking me if he could get the 'excellent music' to THE FINAL CONFLICT and me telling him it wasn't released, I lost contact with him not long after but I wonder if he ever looked for the score a few years later?

If you're saying that you think interest in Lost will reach its final peak at the release of Season 6 on disc, and that consequently that peak is the most opportune time to release the soundtrack, then you are very likely correct.

I forgot that people besides soundtrack fans bought soundtracks tongue
I love you all. Never change. Well, unless you want to!

Ah, good old Amazon listing things early. So August 24th...not long! cheesy

    Boo, one disc! cry

Edit: August 24th is the DVD release date, so I'll won't hold my breath until Varese officially give the date.

Given this was not included in the wave of Varese announcements yesterday I'm assuming this will be released later than 24th August. sad

The music in the Series finale was beautiful... just gorgeous. It's probably Giacchino's best TV score to date IMO.

I hope both discs are dedicated to the whole season and the second one doesn't just focus on the finale. Yes, there was a lot of great music in there, but don't try and squish the rest of the season into eighty minutes. Pwease. angelic

Anyway, another project MG will likely be attached two....7 Minutes In Heaven.

    LET ME IN
    Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Michael Giacchino

An alienated 12-year-old boy befriends a mysterious young newcomer in his small New Mexico town, and discovers an unconventional path to adulthood in Let Me In, a haunting and provocative thriller.

Twelve-year old Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road) is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz, Kick-Ass), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Oscar nominee Richard Jenkins, The Visitor). Recognizing a fellow outcast, Owen opens up to her and before long, the two have formed a unique bond. When a string of grisly murders puts the town on high alert, Abby's father disappears, and the terrified girl is left to fend for herself. Still, she repeatedly rebuffs Owen’s efforts to help her and her increasingly bizarre behavior leads the imaginative Owen to suspect she’s hiding an unthinkable secret.

Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino (Up) provides a suitably unsettling score, laced with melancholy and intrigue.

Overture Films opens LET ME IN nationwide on October 1.

True, it's going to be inferior no matter what, and of course very very different. Soderqvist's universe for the film is very hard to even near. Meh.

I hope Varese have used this artwork. This is just a five minute job in Photoshop but it's brilliantly simple and disturbingly elegant!

It's nice to add something with a bit of blood to the site. Most of MG's project are happy, cheerful, animated affairs. devil
  2. What about the biggest amount of music he's ever written for one project, which was probably Lost? wink
