If the other movie didn't exist, I would probably think this clip is somewhat cool.
But, in light of the original, this is sooooo fail.
I wanted to like it, but...alas...

i'm sure i'll still be able to disassociately enjoy the score as a separate work...

Yeah, for anyone who's seen and felt the original, the clip is quite odd, to say the least. It made me laugh a bit at a point.
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.

I can't really tell from one scene alone, but yeah what i saw was an identical scene from the original.

Did anyone ever hear anything about whether they are releasing a separate CD for the series finale? Given the whole "Bonus Track" thing?

I wonder if the last cue from the episode with Richard's backstory is on the album? That was a great piece of music!

Also, just read that there is a new episode of Lost (Epilogue: The New Man in Charge) - does this have an original score by Giacchino, or did they re-use some old material for that?

I don't think so. Jacob's Advocate covers the same material.

... both movies adapted that scene. From the book, I might add.

The movies have nothing to do with the book. Besides the basic idea of an outcast boy befriending a vampire girl, they go in completely different directions.

YES! "And Death Shall Have No Dominion" was the music I was looking for. Very happy about that. Some of the coolest music MG has done for the entire show, and it lasts about 10 seconds smile

I was hoping for some really sarky track names considering it's a horror (right?), but these'll do. wink

Edit: Pleased they used that cover art! cheesy

Not a horror story, at least the swedish version wasn't. It had some horror elements here and there, but the core of the story was about many other things.

Unless it's the book you're talking about, which is pretty much horror the sheer enjoyment of it...I read it thinking it would be at least vaguely similar to the movie, and was tragically mistaken... slant

I've updated The Four Trombones with season six audio, much better than the rips that were on there before.

Oh nice, looks like Dan Wallin didn't master the album for Let Me In. Now maybe we'll get a nicely-mixed Giacchino score for a change.

Steve Smith, he's done a lot of MG's video game scores.

Cloverfield wasn't Wallin. Neither was Fracture. Have a listen to those. Peter Fuchs is an awesome engineer!

As for Let Me In... yeah, it's going to be great to hear another score written by Giacchino mixed by Smith. Such a nice guy, too!
