Shame, nothing beats a good speaker system (preferrably studio monitors with built-in amps, like yamaha, m-audio, mackie, at least 8'') and a good amp / external sound card like the m-audio profire 2626 for instance.

People who are fortunate to be isolated enough to be able to do most of their listening on speaker systems are unusually...fortunate. wink

For anyone who's seen the original LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, "LET ME IN" by Giacchino completely misses the meaning and point behind the movie; i'll wait 'till i see the movie for final judgment, but for (what i read around) a frame-2-frame remake, this music here is very empty and disappointing.

From the reviews I read, it was apparently turned into more of a straight horror film, with the character of the girl vampire being purely evil and manipulating the boy so he would be her loyal "servant."

Well, typical american then, just like this Lost-spin off (But without the melody or the passion, more atmospheric) implies. It's sad.

    ......wasn't really expecting anything much.....

Giacchino needs to write another old school video game score soon. The other day a track from Secret Weapons Over Normandy came on right as I was finishing a workout and combined with the runner's high it was pure bliss.

Giacchino isn't scoring the Swedish film, so don't be so quick to dismiss it.

It's cool stuff alright, for those who have the extra money to throw away anyway, but the "value: priceless" tag is plain cheesy.

If I had the money, I'd be very tempted for the score. The ringtone is rather silly though.

    Brace yourself!

    LOST: The Last Episodes
    Original Television Soundtrack

    Music Composed by Michael Giacchino

LOST's final season contained just too much great music from Michael Giacchino for a single or even a double CD to suffice. It was clear at the recording session for the series finale that our treatment of this historic television saga demanded an unprecedented final soundtrack release. In total we have chronicled LOST's final season with not one or two or even three CDs full of music, but a full 4 discs, featuring five hours of music! Lost: The Last Episodes now joins our previously released Lost: The Final Season to conclude our presentation of music from LOST's final sixteen episodes.

CD 1 of LOST: The Last Episodes features music from The Candidate, Across The Sea and What They Died For. Disc 2 is devoted solely to the epic and emotional concluding episode, The End. And that brings our LOST soundtrack series to a whopping ten discs! Bravo to Michael Giacchino and congratulations to J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse, Bryan Burk and the entire LOST team! And thank you to all the LOST fans who have been part of this epic journey since Varèse Sarabande's Season 1 album. We are thrilled to offer this very special release to bring LOST's musical story to a moving and poignant end.

LOST Season 6 was released on DVD and BluRay from ABC Home Video on August 24.

Yup, "Aloha" is the very definition of epic.
  1. Fantastic, ordered immediately and can't wait till it arrives! Shame it's only a limited edition though, I hope no one misses out and it's a shame for people who'll only discover the music a few years down the line.
