There are several possibilities on UP score release in my country...
1. The best, greatest: Avex International releases the soundtrack as CD form.
It didn't happen to other Disney's digital releases, but in Japan CDs are still sold better than in the US so I'm just praying
2. Not bad but not great: Avex provides digital release in (relatively) good quality (DRM-free 256kbp)
3. Bad: Only digital release in horrible quality (128kbp with DRM)
4. The worst: No domestic releases in any forms
If 3. or 4. happen, I will go to the dark side again and become a pirate.

Someone buy it on iTunes please, simply because I can't.
You now get a digital booklet and a 7 minute video interview. -

I purchased it from Amazon MP3.
EDIT: What the crap?! This is an outrage; the only reason I didn't get it from iTunes is because it was incomplete... Now, it turns out iTunes is the way to go. -

And did you get the digital booklet? Although at least Amazon offers decent bitrates.
If they let you buy the damn thing!

We know, but unfortunately only people in the US can download from Amazon.com. -

It's a pretty shit move not to release this CD.
It's an even shittier move to then give you the option of good quality MP3s or bad quality M4As but with bonus stuff. -

Head on over to the official site for Pixar's Up to hear what could very well be a bit of Michael Giacchino's score playing in the intro. At least... I hope it's Giacchino, 'cause it sounds great.
Some of you may remember my post from almost a couple months ago. Well, as new information has surfaced confirming that the music featured in the Up theatrical trailer is by Giacchino, written specifically for the trailer, I can further confirm that the music linked to above at the official Up site is by Giacchino, most likely the main adventure theme of the film's score. Both the trailer music and the web site music share the same motif, an adventurous theme heard on horns and trumpets, respectively.
Well, I've heard the score album all the way through and the music I spoke of is not to be found.

His trailer music never is. Remember the awesome MI3 trailer version of the Mission Impossible theme?
Want.
When he's done some more a release would be pretty neat. -

I figured that, but the fact that the music playing on the site is not featured in the trailer and sounds like an extended piece of music led me to believe it was a part of the score. -

So, ehm.
Now that we're all over the pricing, the bitrates and our respective regional grudges...did anyone actually listen to the score?
Or are we just interested in the technical lowdown?
