NP:Kung Fu Panda.
still trying to find something from Zimmer's own voice.
"Dragon Warrior is among us", "tai lung Scapes" and "oogway ascend" perhaps are his only contribuiton.
Anyway, The top Score of the Year!!!!!!! (even with the dark knight Comming! ) -

PS - The next Star Trek will be Wallin's fourth recording of a Star Trek score. he previously recorded Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock and The Voyage Home.
I think there´s hope, then.
I don´t have the MoH scores with me right now, I gave them to a friend to listen to them, and I had not the time to dig too deep into them, but I´ll try again on their return.
Regarding to Cloverfield, I would have to hear the thing again to say something about it, but I remember it being rather cool in the theatre... -

I hear Zimmer everywhere, but as I´ve said many times, IMO this is a perfect balanced score of TWO composers that don´t fight to make his own voice shine more than the other (even if we can notice which parts are by one or the other).
But I agree with you, a top score of 2008, and probably the biggest surprise for a long time.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

NP Kung Fu Panda (JP & HZ)
Quoting Ralph, fantastic stuff!
Not a single cue I don´t like of a score I expected to be like Madagascar. Expectations raised when Powell landed to the project though. And the result is excellent!Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Hans Zimmer and John Powell - Kung Fu Panda
I think that seriously it may be a shared score, there isn't a cue that was written by one of them alone, even if sometimes Powell only had a hand in orchestration or, say, Zimmer added choir. There are are some single pieces written (like surely Oogway Ascends by Zimmer, some other cue by Powell), but I think it's a collaborative work. And a very good one. FUN, complete utter fun.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

I´d say is more than utter fun (that it is of course). It´s a coherent, well developed, with plenty of themes and with nice and fresh orchestrations score. I´d say it´s great!Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

NP : WEDDING CRASHERS - Rolfe Kent
A really good score, some of which contain a good slice of Barry'isms which is no bad thing by me!On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

But but but, lotcats are mostly inserted via a link. They're not ... necessary (although always funny and witty and fitting )
Anyhow, think I have dragged myself a bit too much.
My bad.Kazoo -

I just played SPEED RACER. Perhaps that's why.
I liked it more than previous listens. Some very exciting cues near the end. Taejo Turns Trixie must be my favourite, together with the previous mentioned Let Us Drink Milk. But it's not a keeper score. Too disoriented for my ears. It jumps from here to there, makes me spastic all the way.
Next up?
I think Gattaca.Kazoo -
