The clips are awful btw. I mean they already released all the music in the first soundtrack cdThis is very close to be a fraud.
Oh, and the remixes are vomit inducing.Anything with an orchestra or with a choir....at some point will reach you -

Still, I suspect this album is going to be a hit... -

Nah; i suspect nobody will bother. Hans has to really get over the love addiction with the childish remixes. He's not a 15 year old, is he?Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -

But he has a huge fanbase and that alone is enough to make this album a hit - I guess. As for me, I definitely won't buy this since the music on the original album is more than enough in my opinion. But there are many completists out there... -

This is some kind of phenomenon in the film music world; most scores which don't need a complete release get one and those gems which NEED one don't
The clips to me sound more or less the same as the OST tracks (like "Bank Robbery" is just a rearrangement of "Why So Serious?"). I wish they had put something like the train fight cue from BB on this instead. -

Now those would've been better served by this kind of release. Thanks to Disney... -

Oh my...
Yes, there was some new stuff, but lots of old stuff as well.
Based on those clips, I won´t buy it, and I LOVE the TDK score.
Give us something else. Or better clips. Or...
(But thanks for posting the link!!!) -

Haha, I hope they don't. Their score is definitely not the most deserving of the bunch. It is nice though that they are given the chance. -

Well, that's what happens when the committee realise that Iron Man would have to be nominated in its place. -

Nice they're at least getting nominated! -

It's my view that every score should be eligible for nomination, leaving aside concerns around ones whose use is somewhat diluted by using lots of placed music. I never really understood the rule about multiple-composer scores. If it's the best score of the year, then how/why does it matter how many people wrote it? (The fact that no score written by more than one person is ever any good doesn't necessarily mean that it couldn't be any good.) -

Maybe for Frost/Nixon. It deserves it. This year definitely Desplat will be nominated, maybe Elfman.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

And probably JNH for Defiance (although I don't know the score but everybody is raving about it...) -
- CommentTimeDec 9th 2008
I hope we don't ruin it for people. I really like it, but it may not be for everyone. -
- CommentTimeDec 9th 2008
I loved Defiance, would be great if it is nominated! I'm eager to get it on CD! -
- CommentTimeDec 9th 2008
Yeah, just for clearance, the score now MAY be nominated, it still isn´t. -
- CommentTimeDec 9th 2008
I didn't liked Defiance.
But then again, I'm a heartless cat killer anyway.Kazoo -

I bought the movie today. FYE has a 2-disc DVD version in a steel case. That's the one I went with.
In the special features it has a video on the Joker's theme and talks about how they created it. Only about 6.25 minutes long but interesting none the less.
