Okeydokey......
1) The Dark Crystal ( by far )
2) Thirteen Days
3) Last Of The Mohicans
I suspect you'll have a far easier scoring system with Jones than you had with Williams.
Now when you gonna do Jerry Goldsmith? On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Yup. Much easier. Though it really hurt not to include Dark City.

Soon, though I suspect that to become a massaker. I have no idea what to name as my top three... maybe I´ll do something easier first...
Looks like I´m Mister Top Three now... -

So strange nobody mentioned The Mighty, that is just a wonderful score. The song by Sting and Jones will stick in your head, and the main theme will blow your mind. It came out the same year as Dark City, essentially the year I stopped buying Jones music, weird eh?
I just hated From Hell, I found it utterly boring, I love my music sweeping and grand, so From Hell is a big nono, but that's just my taste.
I think Dark City is his best though, I just adore the climactic buildup and sweeping finale. Its dark and brooding, yet there is undeniable beauty in the score, as in the film, which has a very uplifting theme, despite the dark imagery."considering I've seen an enormous debate here about The Amazing Spider-Man and the ones who love it, and the ones who hate it, I feel myself obliged to say: TASTE DIFFERS, DEAL WITH IT" - Thomas G. -

It´s just that if I start allowing this, everyone wants to do it, and then we´ll be flooded with top fives or tens again. Thanks for doing it. It´s appreciated. -

My exposure to Trevor Jones is severely limited, but from what I've heard:
1. LAST OF THE MOHICANS (a contemporary classic that is even liked by non-film music fans!)
2. DARK CITY (I don't own this, but I loved it in the movie!)
3. EXCALIBUR (what can I say....I like jaunty medieval music!)
I had the revered THE DARK CRYSTAL once, but didn't like it all!I am extremely serious. -

It's a disappointment tha tever time this thread comes back up, it doesn't include a new scoring assignement. The views and opinions of Ford A. Thaxton are his own and do not necessarily reflect the ones of ANYONE else. -

Yeap; I too want a new score by JONES but for the time being my needs are met through his excellent (although pretty Jones-standardized) FIELDS OF FREEDOM. Try that out, deeply recommended. That main theme is so Goddamn addictive!Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders. -
