According to FSM's new Top 40 Composers article:

    The next Harry Potter film
Alexandre Desplat (says he's been signed)

    "Green Hornet"
    Danny Elfman

    Link please?
Love Maintitles. It's full of Wanders.
  1. And another person got in contact with his agency, and they confirmed Desplat.

  2. "See You In September"
David A. Austin (replacing a score by Jeff Cardoni)
Source: movie's official site now has Austin listed. If you go to Cardoni's site, he still has samples of his score up (which was done in October) -- it's quite nice (I've naturally saved all the cues...).

  4. A few months ago I reported that Glass was scoring "When The Dragon Swallowed The Sun". I have a rather interesting update on that:

  6. Until they're filming, I wouldn't assume the film was going to eventuate. It's been in pre-production for a long time, which usually means a financing issue.

I know that Zimmer works with some rappers, if it's the same project.

Zimmer is producing Williams' score for "Despicable Me" and also I think Heitor Pereira is going to work on the score. Let me confirm this with the studio.

    Really?
This would have been a good one for Desplat, actually. Not that he needs the work, but his cold/austere thing would suit it well.

If you read the info and plot of the movie's Arnold's scoring, it's equally sad for him too.

Count yourself lucky then. For a while we thought Giacchino would get Morning Glory. Now that would be a waste.
