In Greece on Easter day traditionally we roast a lamb, which is pretty tasty!
So, my friends have been making fun of me telling me that since my birthday is on Easter day they are not going to make a cake for me but rather put the candles on the lamb.
Far faaaaarrrrrrrrrrr better than some pocksky cake. Lamb, Mmmmmmmmm

I discovered that to my cost last night when I took a truly spectacular, comical fall in which somehow I managed to raise both legs high into the air while on the way down and so landed fully on my arse. -

I think my story from last year is worse though, skidding flat on my face in the road while returning from a pub, a car full of four gorgeous young girls pulled up and asked if I was alright, yes I replied, thankyou. ( while inside I'm thinking will the road please open up and swallow me whole ), oh the indignity

Christ, I'm flying back up to Aberdeen on Friday and if I have as much trouble flying there as I did when I flew home for Christmas, I'll be very very pissed off. -

Just be prepared for the worst. I think that the snow is to continue off-and-on for the rest of the week. The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

The temperature's gone down to around -2 C here which is quite cold for this area. Especially because we don't have a room heating system. My fingers are so numb I can barely feel them typing! -

I just read that lots of Indian people (mostly hoboes and people living on the streets) had died due to a sudden cold (in the capital, among other things), hovering around the freezing point at 0 degrees. In a Norwegian context, that's a MILD winter, but I can understand how it can be devastating for a place like that. Sunil, Demonstar, Bhelpuri....have you heard about this?I am extremely serious. -

I can understand that, too. I can't really imagine surviving in our current British weather without proper clothes, heating etc, which is of course how many people in the world have to cope. -

That's madness. Is it normal?
The coldest I had, was last week, somewhere around -15 degrees. I almost froze my hand off when I had to take out money (without gloves!) to buy a fucking glühwein, which I then immediately drank. My eyes then got almost frozen because there was some kind of snow storm on the mountain and I smehow wasn't table to protect my left eye, which got a container for the freezing, wet ice.Kazoo -

No, not in the Southeast of Norway so much. Not THAT low.

I'll have you know that I've hiked through a minus 20 blizzard Tom, add wind chill factor to that and you're talking serious!
So you can strike me off your 'wimp' list!

I read of that, yeah; it's been terribly cold this past week with chilling winds. Sadly, that's nothing new. That's not as extreme as compared to other areas in the world, yeah, but I think the major reason for these deaths is that the people below poverty line barely have anything to wear out in the harsh cold on streets. We gave out some of our sweaters and jackets to some of them but it's still not uncommon to see others wearing just ragged shirts and thin blankets, sleeping under street lights.
It gets on my nerves to think the politicians sitting in their well heated rooms have more illegally earned money than they can count, and they don't do a rat's ass to help these poor people living in total misery facing Nature's wrath.
