NP : CHURCH WINDOWS - Ottorino Respighi
I can hear why Tom did this >
< at the thought of trying to explain these pieces.
However, that shouldn't put anyone off as Respighi's work is incredibly accessable, this is full of gorgeous melody ( as one would expect from an Italian composer ), powerful, romantic and nostalgic, a truly beautiful work.On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

Entry Of The Gladiators? Not my favourite either.
But his Stars And Stripes Forever?
Damn, that even makes ME stand up and salute!
I have an eclectic mix of techno and traditional (and not-so-traditional) marching band music mixed on my iPod when I go training. Gotta say that works like a charm for motivation!'no passion nor excitement here, despite all the notes and musicians' ~ Falkirkbairn -

For THE MISSION at the very least. Morricone has been overlooked too many times but at least he got an honorary award

I wholeheartedly agree dear Tom, but i stopped giving a damn since it seems that doing so,i felt as a grumpy party pooper who's not pleased with anything nor will let others enjoy their Banghras so i decided to stop and laugh instead.

Shouldn't it have been called Timmer?
Seriously though...DAMN, I never realized how well Barry's work is suited to lounge remixing!
Excellent work, this! Wouldn't mind having a listen in proper stereo/sound quality. This is exactly the kind of thing I like a LOT.

I don't know Dan who did the track, just my very talented musician friend Roger who played on various tracks ( check out his trumpet playing on 'It's Coming' also by Grantby in the side bar ).
I'd swear that Barry is second only to Morricone when it comes to sampling!?
And Timmer? Yeah, if I knew Dan better that would have been ultra cool

NP: MGV - Michael Nyman
Over the years I've listened to this far more often than The Piano Concerto (preferring the OST). "5th Region" is such a great track and I always think that Nyman's string lines here are gorgeous.
And when the brass kick's in as well...
