The Hangover Thread

Ugh...one of the worst hangovers ever.
You know it's pretty bad when you wake up at the floor at the party host's place at 10 in the morning, don't remember much from when you arrived at the party to how you ended up there, one of your eyeglasses is missing and your T-shirt is all soaked(?!). It's like that HANGOVER film that was made recently.I am extremely serious. -

[judgmental] I don't see the point of getting that drunk. Why drink yourself into submission when you're only going to forget what could have been a potentially enjoyable night? [/judgmental] But hey, that's just me. -

I'm with Steven but it is possible to accidently go over the top, particularly if spirits are involved plus the encouragement of your friends, with spirits it's easy to lose sight of how much you've drunk. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

That's very true. But if I'm on the spooky stuff, something inside me says 'boy, you've had enough', and regardless of peer pressure, I'll usually stop. (Mostly because I get REALLY bad hangovers.) -

Some people can't easily stop once they start some can. It has been proven it is more than just will-power.

I've always seemed to know when to stop too ( or more accurately, slow down ), I don't suffer hangovers easily so it's only occasionally that I really go overboard. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -

And some people would be better off to just pass on the alcohol. It can end up getting them into more trouble than the small amount of pleasure they derive from it.

I agree with you. I'm usually in total control of booze & body, but something must have happened last night. OK, so I had shared two bottles of wine (one red and one white) plus a couple of beers with a friend of mine before we crashed the party, but I wasn't smashed when I arrived. Then someone mixed me a strong drink and that was that. Must have been something with that drink. It's the only thing I had there.I am extremely serious. -

What a f**ked up weekend. I don't even want to go into the details, but this is by far the worst I've felt in ages, possibly ever. -

Yeah, but that isn't the real problem. The real problem is when you add LICOR to the list, making it the ultimate killer "cocktails" for heads and stomachs the day after.I am extremely serious. -

Wise words indeed. I'm a lot more mellow when it comes to drinking than I used to be. -

It is indeed a great city. I loved it and I will be back.
Estrella is one of my all-time favourites too!
If you're hitting the disco tonight, try Apollo.
