It wasn't released yet. Cinemagic, an XM Radio station, featured some selections from the score (if you live in the U.S. and have DirecTV it has the Cinemagic channel too).

NP: Drag Me to Hell (Christopher Young)

Imagine the choir sections of "Second Sight" from Hellraiser II, mix it up with the dissonance from the Grudge scores plus some really neat experimental effects with the orchestra. It may not sound like much, but it's another Young horror score to pursue. Wish that Lakeshore would've released the CD this week instead of early July...

Mmmmmm, I like the sound of that.

All this talk of Elfman has put me in the mood for, well, you know, some Elfman...

    Spider-Man 2 Danny Elfman

I only ever listen to the complete score... that's how much I love this one.

Someone could make a movie called Being Elfman, along the lines of Being John Malkovitch and it would star YOU. cheesy

NP : QUEST FOR FIRE - Philippe Sarde

Great score, not the easiest of listens but one of those scores that truly rewards on repeat listens, a gorgeous love theme and the awesome Creation of Fire are highlights.

I agree with D. For a film that, IMO, was a decent 3/5, that rating could have been bumped higher with a more adrenaline packed effort from the composer and I think it's a shame that someone like Powell didn't get to score it.

We can safely say that Craig Armstrong was the wrong choice for that film; although i am very big fan of his music, still he shouldn't touch such a movie. It's outside his style and musical identity.

Huskies are proper dogs with minds of their own and are usually very easy going. It's the little yappy dogs I get annoyed with.

Not liking huskies is just wrong though. tongue

  2. NP: Looking For Richard - Howard Shore

One of my favourite Shore CDs. Dramatic stuff indeed with some spine-tingling choral passages.

It might not be his normal musical identity, but I still think he did a good job. I enjoyed the score.

Love this score Alan, this was the specific score that made me think Shore was the right choice for LOTR.
