You're right on the money again Erik!
I was just listening to Temple Of Doom earlier in awe of it's complexity of orchestration. -

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is quite better than Temple of Doom. I don't deny your statement but i find great tracks and cues in The Last CrusadeRacism, Prejudices and discrimination exists everywhere. -

NP: LIONHEART - Jerry Goldsmith
I know a lot of people have problems with the synth stuff, but beside ST-TMP, the Lionheart score is probably the one I played most during the Eighties. It´s unbelievable how many themes Goldsmith wrote for this little movie, and hoe well they work together. -

Ralph, have you ever seen the movie? I've never been able to track it down. -
- CommentTimeJul 28th 2009
I've seen it (on VHS). It's far from great. Poorly edited for starters.
I remember hearing some of Goldsmith's cues butchered due to final re-edits.
It does have some scenes worth remembering though.
But what a score! I too thrashed it to death in the late eighties! -

I have problems with the action music. It's too 70's for my taste, a much more complex than Goldsmith 90's but less cool.
Give me 13 warrior, first knight or The Mummy anytime.
King richard is really great, thought.

I like it too.
But it is very minimalist Martijn. Don't expect them being banged away like in Horner's score to 48 Hours. On Friday I ate a lot of dust and appeared orange near the end of the day ~ Bregt -
