    No, but I've heard bits and pieces of him throughout the years (such as the track on the RISKY BUSINESS soundtrack). I'm sure Spotify can come to my aid again! smile

    The track on RISKY BUSINESS is The Pump and that's a track from THERE & BACK cool

    The album is purely instrumental and the playing is, quite frankly, SUPERB!

    Check out SPACE BOOGIE which is the fastest track from the album, the drumming in particular ( courtesy of Simon Phillips ) is phenomenal.

    The album also features your old favourite Jan Hammer who plays on and composed three of the albums tracks.

    NP: On the Transmigration of Souls - John Adams (Lorin Maazel & New York Philharmonic)

    Just bought this. My first listen. I figured this would be an appropriate time during which to buy this work, with 9/11 approaching rapidly.

    You would probably like it, especially as it's orchestrated by Karl Jenkins. Surprised you didn't hear it when it was getting a fair bit 'PR' from Timmer, myself and a few others last year!

    And it has the wonderful Hayley Westenra performing on a couple of track who I'm quite literally in love with. love

    I have but I'd need to listen to it again. It's quite a short work, listenable but didn't stand out but like I said I've only heard it once.

    It is quite dissonant and modernistic, dragged out to twenty-five minutes long with a prerecorded audio track playing alongside the music. The orchestra plays brilliantly, though, of course, and there are several intense brassy outbursts which are quite impressive in scope. The choir does a fine job, as well. But certainly not for people who only like their music to be full of lush melodies.

    I got it Mark at the Mpls. public library so I really don't know. I can tell you that they had a lot of stuff available.

    Based on Timmer's recommendation above. It's pretty cool stuff in that "acid jazz" style of The Yellowjackets, Weather Report etc. Some funky grooves.

    Yeah, definitely some jazz time signatures going on. It's a damn fine accessable and melodic album too.

    Yeah, I know, it really belongs in the soundtrack "NP", but I don't really participate in that, and I thought it was crossover album enough to be posted here. It's pure PF psychedelia, of course, from laidback, acoustic, almost folksy songs to wild experimental textures.
