Is anybody coming to the Krakow Film Festival in May? Among score stuff, there will be a performance of Return of the King. Howard Shore will attend the festival.http://www.filmmusic.pl - Polish Film Music Review Website -

I'm upset I missed Fellowship, but I'm up for that. -

Might be a good idea indeed. I'm all for coming back to London a few days again, and combine it with a grand concert. Are there other concerts announced yet as well?

Thank you all very much for the pictures! I enjoyed watching them a lot!!
Well, with a feeling of 'I wish I had been there too' of course. But there was really no chance, my sister was going to move that day, in one day, so I had to be there. The good thing was I was so busy on saturday I had no time to think of you and the great time you were probably all having.
But now I found out after all. Oh well...
Hoping for a next time for sure! -

Checking these very late...
Such a fantastic pic! It's obvious from it that you all had a terrific time! Lucky you all!
Kudos to Bregt for the kazoo idea.
Tim's expression is priceless and instantly conveys what a jolly good fellow he is!
If only Thor had raised his left hand then you'd get a mirror image of this famous pic. -

I posted this in the "musings" thread as well, but my review of the concert is up at:

Nice article, Thor!
I did find an error though. The last time he was in London was in december 2006. I was at that concert so I should know.

Yup, I discovered that error too late. I was going by Christopher Frayling's intro, where he said he hadn't been here since 2003. But only later did I realize he was talking about the VENUE, not the CITY.I am extremely serious. -

This, to me, seems the most likely "event" I'll be at this year - that's music event related. Ubeda is just getting too expensive to really contemplate - though I'd love to be there.
I may just start another topic...The views expressed in this post are entirely my own and do not reflect the opinions of maintitles.net, or for that matter, anyone else. http://www.racksandtags.com/falkirkbairn -

Hey, just a quick off-topic question, for you guys who went to the concert: I'm going to the Lord of the Rings concert in September, and I wonder if I can bring a (compact) camera. Do they check for that at the entrance? (Obviously somebody brought a camera to the Morricone concert, judging by the amount of Youtube videos online ) -
- CommentTimeApr 22nd 2010
Interesting for sure.
But I don't know yet since we might do our yearly big trip then. If not, I'll definitely join (since I still have a Eurostar ticket for free).Kazoo -

we weren't checked at the entrance, and I'm sure if it's small they won't check your coats or anything, so I'm sure you could give it a trywaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!! Where's my nut? arrrghhhhhhh -

This is also funny to read today. I believe it was the first time I met any Maintitlers -- a few months before the first WSA trip. I have pics of this trip too -- good times! Here's the classic picture of us posing in front of the Royal Albert Hall:
